Re: Russ the 79 c10
finished up my sound system! i installed two 4" speakers (1.83" deep) up front where the original 4x10 was. The speakers are mounted to a cutting board that is stenciled to the original speaker. (the mounting points are a little bulked up) I made sure to get a 1/4 inch board so that it wouldn't buzz.
http://i925.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps0cd132ba.jpg I'm very happy with the sound quality of the system especially for all of the speakers being in the middle and for how much I paid for all of it. |
Re: Russ the 79 c10
finally replaced the throwout bearing. still typically screams when i first move. Any thoughts on how to fix this? it's getting pretty annoying... on the sunny side of things Russ doesn't leak oil anymore! help on the screaming sound would really be appriciated

Re: Russ the 79 c10
The siamesed intake runners don't work well with port fuel without port dividers, tends to run rich then lean particularly on the middle two since their intake strokes are so close. Bunch of learnings on this over at inliners. But mighty cool.
Turbo works better than the blowers. Actually easier to set up, and can do blow thru carb or TBI pretty easy. |
