I bought the 20-137 kit. I keep hearing of an install kit I will need. Can you advise what that is (and part number) please?

Depending on the engine you are installing the kit with, you may need to use an available spacer kit to match the fore/aft offset of the Holley components with the water pump and balancer on your engine. What LS engine are you installing?

These are the part numbers of the Holley installation kits; pick the one you need based on the water pump/balancer offset you have on your engine...

Corvette/CTSV - 21-1, F-Body/GTO- 21-2 or truck- 21-3

Ok, something I'm curious about on '67-'72 trucks. Bit of a weird question, and I can understand if you don't have the answer.

I made a set of homemade mounts that have similar bolt positions to these: https://holley.com/products/ls_power...parts/12622HKR

Then I put the stock engine stands in the six cylinder position so the engine mounted in the same location. I used a set of used 2010 Camaro exhaust manifolds, and had to do a lot of sawing and welding on the stock engine stands to make them clear everything.

Would the Hooker manifolds have cleared this?

I've not done any test fitting of any type of parts on 67-72 trucks, so I unfortunately don't have an answer for you either way.

so you are saying that we dont have to relocate the AC compressor when for a LS 5.3 in a 73-87 ?

how does it not hit the frame?

or do we have to move the transmission?

we have a 76 K-10 4wd with a stock 70's 350 and a NV-3500 5 speed from a 2007 Silverado.

Hey Roundhouse. The later type A/C compressor can be used in the stock location by notching the front lower lip on the right side frame bracket that the clamshell mount attaches to. This applies only to 2WD trucks as I've not spent any time with a 4WD truck to be able to know what the differences are in that area. 4WD fitment validation has not been discussed here by management, so I don't know if or when that may happen. I'm suspecting that the only components in this system that would also fit a 4WD are the engine brackets and the headers; the trans crossmember and the exhaust systems will be a no-go.

The PART# 12646HKR crossmember. Mine is on order, is it painted or powdercoated from the factory?

we are keeping the 2007 NV3500 5 speed thats currently in the truck,
the trans should stay in the same place?

dont think we;d need the crossmember, its for swapping in a 4L60, right?

Hey roundhouse. The Hooker crossmember can be used to install a TH2004R,TH400, 4L60-4L70, 4L80, T56 or T56 Magnum transmission in a 2WD truck. None of the parts in this system have been designed for or tested for fitment on a 4WD truck, so any information I give you is likely to be erroneous or useless in regards to your 4WD K-10. I would be happy to see you use Hooker components in your swap, but they just weren't designed for your application; you may have success with the engine mounting brackets, but that's about it.

There is no direct accomodation for that trans, but because the location of its mount lies between a TH400 and a 4L60, it would be easy enough to fabricate an adapter bracket to pick up its mount off of the Hooker crossmember.

The process is rather straight forward as long as you have fabricating abilities and equipment. You would start by installing your engine and trans in your truck using the Hooker engine mounting brackets and then jack up the rear of the transmission high enough to allow you to position the Hooker crossmember under the mount of the 6L80 trans. You would next adjust the height of the rear of the trans up or down until you achieve U-joint working angles that are optimized for your trucks' ride height/suspension configuration. Once that is achieved, you then need to design an adapter bracket that will connect the trans mount to the crossmember. If the crossmember crossbar is too high and leaves too little room for the design of such a piece, then you would just move the crossmember back about 4" and purchase/use the Hooker T56 crossmember cantilever bracket with the crossmember to provide a lower mounting surface height to build to.

toddoky, I'm having trouble figuring out which 2.5 exhaust fits my truck. It is a shortbed and I want the side exit exhaust.
