The O-rings are not cheap, anyone have a cheaper (more cost effective for me) source?

Your local Ace Hardware should have those bolts. I am not sure I would pay $10 for a single one.

Thanks,

I'm glad you shared this, I had the hubs apart on mine over the summer and I don't recall seeing a seal on the hub dials.

I just bought new stainless steel socket head 3/8"-16 bolts for mine. I'm sure they were a lot less than $10/bolt. I do have two sets of original bolts too. Are these from quad4x4 actually OEM bolts or just replacements??

Re: Interest in aluminum hub knobs?

If i remember correctly my seals were a square profile, I don't recall a V-shape, but I could be wrong. I'm going to see if my local specialty hardware store has a similar square or tapered profile o-ring. I think even a round profile o-ring might suffice... we shall see.

You are right, they do have a square profile and the ones from 4x4 tech are the originals but he has a limited amount of them for a premium price. I went to a place that rebuilds hydraulic cylinders and bought some from them that are the same dimension and close to the same profile. They fit very well.

These would be CNC made out of 6061 aluminum and anodized blue to match the originals. I am not sure of the cost at this time but I am just putting this out there to find out how much interest there is.

Hi, I am interested in a set of these, please let me know how to pay for them, thanks, Jim

Any interest in doing some for Dana 60s? They are pretty common to find, but I have two original sets off 78/79 style, both 44 and 60 Fords.

Maybe down the road but for now I will stick to the Dana 44 ones.

Same here! I guess I'll just paint the current ones I have for now.

If one of you guys with the 1/2 ton 4x4's could send me a broken hub dial I will check into the possibility of getting a batch of them made. There are no promises but I will check.
Just PM me and I will give you my address. Thanks

My 88 V30 is tucked away and I'm outa town, I'm guessing I have Dana 60?

Re: Interest in aluminum hub knobs?

Cancel my request for broken half ton hub dial. I will make a trip to the wrecking yard and pull some. That way my machinist buddy can take all the time he needs to work on the next set of dials.

There's a good market for 60 knobs. Lots of interest here but never came thru -

The tds ones on ebay are the culmination of slobuild57, dott, and myself to crank out a new knob. Held this one in my hand and it's excellent quality. For the Spicer 60 hub guys that was the only thing we were needing really. We are also working on a new outer ring as well.

Wow I didn't realize that. That thread got so long that I'd check it occasionally but didn't keep up 100%.

I'd love some aftermarket bezels too.

Finally got my hub knobs from USPS. They look great! Can't wait to get all greasy installing them.
