Re: 2wd to 4wd.....just curious
If you can make it work, I'd love to see it!! Like you, I'm not doing any "hard core" off-roading....just looking for a functional 4wd set up to get though sand, mud, snow, etc while camping....not trying to compete in KOTH.
I hadn't heard of the ORD coil over conversion....will need to do some research. |

Re: 2wd to 4wd.....just curious
Much appreciated....looking at their web site, it looks like they have a matching rear set up. I'll be curious to hear what the minimum lift you can get out of it is. I'd like something capable, and don't mind modification/fabrication to the frame, but don't want a monster truck either.

I asked about ride height and the tech told me that they could set it up at whatever I wanted...I was looking for only about 2"- 2½" of lift. |

sounds about perfect

He also said that the trailing arm coil rear suspension would work just fine with it Minimum ride height would be 2-2½ inches above stock. |

Thanks for making the inquiry! I think when the time comes, I may drag my rolling chassis to their shop in Colorado, have them do the fabrication and install, then bring it home and put the truck back together myself. I think coil overs in the front with the trailing arms in the rear, Eaton e-locker in the front and a true-track in the rear on 33's or 35's would make for a nice road trip rig that can still handle beach/dirt/snow/mud trails to get to some good camp spots. |
