I bought the fans and the Shroud separately. My friend actually gave me the fans, they are 14 in cheap generic fans. I got the Shroud from ledfoot racing. It's designed to go on a replacement Champion radiator but it fit very nicely on my four row original radiator.

I got a few things done.
Radiator overflow installed/plumbed.
Some new firewall grommets.
Cleaned up my small garage, tools and work bench.
Next on the to do list, wiper washer hoses.

This weekend I tackled the drip guard. I started by removing the old seam sealer. I used a chisel for much of it and then based on a tip from this board I finished it with a wire wheel. I then treated the whole channel with a couple coats of por15 and let it dry overnight. Next day I used the self leveling seam sealer and after letting that dry for several hours (the label says you need 30 minutes) I gave it a coat of TCP 2k epoxy primer using the preval sprayer.

Didn’t get any of the parts I’ve waiting on to move forward in Walter so I started on the install of the CVF serpentine pulley setup (bought it at SEMA show) and Sanden 508 a/c install on my ‘77 square.

Replaced the alternator and re-did the shattered connector plug. While I was at it, I saw that the fuel pump was squirting gas from the weep holes in the top of the mechanical pump. So, got a new pump and will be doing that next.

Smell your oil for fuel. When the diaphragm goes, the pump can leak fuel into the oil.

Installed cowl vent trash guards, and replaced the cowl fresh air flap. Removed failed fuel pump, only to find that the parts store sold me the wrong one. So, will be getting the right pump today, then reinstall later tonight.

In the mean time, spent some time working to understand the AC vacuum routing/functionality and replaced a few of the 50 year old vacuum lines under the dash.

Yesterday, I finally slid the tail lights into my bed. I'm just glad that the wiring worked as it should.

Finished the 72's rear trim this weekend.
Taillights, upper/lower tailgate trim and a new sport bumper.
The taillight bezels were fun........not! :lol:

Got one upper control arm ready to install. Went with Dorman shaft kits and GM NOS upper ball joint. Blasting the other one tonight and getting it assembled and painted hopefully by tomorrow.

67 short beds , I have a few to build , lt Green 292/3 speed hurst floor shift / 3.73 posi / 2-4 drop / buckets/ consol /air /ps/pb, Yellow 350 4 speed rock crusher floor shift hurst ps/pb/air/ 3-5 drop / 3.73 posi/ , Black ,red interior 292 tri power 4 speed floor shift/ consol /3.73 posi / ps/pb/air/ Not sure on the rest of them yet color wise .:chevy:

I drove it to work, then the gas station, then home. It's pulling daily driver duty this week while the new Ram is at the body shop.

Good question...They came with the truck and have no markings other than a chevy emblem. They are quality though as the parts that hold the wires are all metal and they slide together nice and tight. No brittle plastic here!

These are the type that bolt to lower BBC valve cover and hold the wires just above the headers.

That is what I have been looking for. I have the OEM style plastic ones that slide over the tabs welded to the stock valve covers but I don't like them with the headers.

Those are quality looms. I had them for over 20 years on an Impala SS. Not a daily mind you, but with a little wipe-down at the start of each year they looked like new.

Went to start mine for the first time in about 6 weeks. I had to make some repairs to the electrical in that time as the external regulator harness was chaffed so I installed the solid state regulator and a new pigtail. Fixed the tail light wiring and painted the inside of the housings gloss white for some better light reflection and new lenses. Perfect let's start it...NOPE! Heavy fuel smell, leaking from a crap connection where PO had cut hard line at the pump and put in a piece of rubber hose to connect the two. OK got that done and new line ordered. Get home from work the next day to a puddle of fuel on the driveway from under the cab. Truck had two saddle tanks back in the day and removed before I got it. But the hard lines from them to the selector valve were still in it with the valve. In-cab tank was plumbed to the valve still and the rubber line from the tank to the selector valve hard line was rotted and leaking. Ripped it all out in 30 minutes and installed a new line with a metal canister filter between the tank and the hard line inside the frame. Just in time for a torrential downpour and two more days of work with rain...I just want to start it now and make sure I have all the fuel line good.

Of course rain still pervades here in NorCal (we need it bad though) and I discovered this truck had 5/16" fuel lines for the 350 from the factory so new hard lines and sender ordered to replace the old ones and hopefully prevent any starvation (has Edelbrock carb/intake on it). I'm going out on limb though and guessing the fuel pump will need replacing (Merry Christmas to me) since that's my luck. If I don't get it running as is, it will remain a driveway queen until after Christmas. I feel mission creep coming on as the radiator and heater core are also suspect, those hoses look really shady right now and it's pouring outside once again.
