Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Nice one!! They always need something, especially when you use them .Never let that get you down.if it starts buggung you about a list of repairs, just know others look over at that truck and wish they had it.These still have style, even when they`re falling apart.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
It`s no secret that brush trucks are a great find for a well preserved sample of these trucks.but, you sure ound an waesome one,in more than one way.1st,it`s just that damned nice!2nd,It`s just a nice looking utility truck that`s not overboard with ire apparatus. It`s a nice fire truck example w/o being so dedicated that others can`t appreciate it.Like me...when it comes to fire trucks I`m smaller on "fire" and bigger on "truck".3rd,it`s a`68!

Thanks! they are the headmen hustler kit. Which is a $300.00 box of tubes shiped to your door so you can build them how you want. 2 1/8'' primarys and 4'' colecters into 4'' 50 series flowmasters.

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Now that`s a set of headers that`ll clear the clutch linkage.
That shot at the dunes is a classic magazine shot,if you ask me.Paddles and all. |

Re: post your 67-72 4x4
all nice trucks. I am trying to find links to 4x4 conversions. I need to see pics of the front end. How the front springs are mounted.
|
Re: post your 67-72 4x4
Don't mind the body mount, the will fix later in time, but not high on my list.
A convertion is pretty easy everything is a bolt up process, the truck was halfway done when i got it, but the rear hanger are already in the frame i belive so all you need is CRoss member, with motor mount brackets, or customs fab if up, you can use the 2wd and makes a plate from the frame to bracket and bracket to bracket. I tried just welding frame to bracket each side the weld broke, tig welded. Tranny/ t-case springs Axle Shocks And drivelines. the front and rear http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...4d861467d3.jpg http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...905f6764e3.jpg Yes the exhast is welded right there, a muffler shop did it, don't know why but they did, And i don't really care. Edit i was going to take a pic of a 67-72 chevy truck that was at the dunes, a nice one clean from where i was at, but seemed the motor was lackng somewhat sounded good, just tires didn't seem to want to move fast, He was trying to throw sand. |
