This thing looks awesome, makes me contemplate whether or not I still want to lower mine. It's only 2wd though and don't see much of a point in lifting other than looks.

Stepside65 04-18-2008 01:20 AM

Re: something different 66 long travel truck

don't go rancho. they are crappy. Pulled some off a fellow board member's truck about a month ago that the PO had installed. Dang things wouldn't even extend back out once you compressed them by hand.

Dino, check the cost of the 12 ranchos vs the cost of 4 2.5" fox, sway-a-way or king remote resivoirs, including the cost of fabbing up all of the stuff to mount them. You may also want to check out pirate4x4.com or race-dezert.com for some used ones.

Holy camber!
I hope you have an allignment rack in your back yard!
Seriously, how bad is the camber change throughout the travel, any chance you looked into upper j-arms Dino?
By the way, I owe you a long overdue thanks for the sticker!:metal:

Dinos63 06-08-2008 01:08 PM

Re: something different 66 long travel truck

rob upper j-arms? the suspension still has to adjusted, after kevins it all comes apart to be powder coated.then i will have it all set .allignment rack in my back yard hmmmm i might have to work on getting one

scotts62 06-08-2008 05:27 PM

Re: something different 66 long travel truck

Ya i agree with Joe, i like the nose to nose shot! Both trucks are sweet! What kind of wheel are those on the green one?

It might be way more then you want to do , but on some of the desert long travel trucks, they use a j-arm instead of an a-arm. It allows for equal length upper and lower arms, so you dont get alot of camber change throughout the travel.
