yup! thanks for that. one air cleaner ive always wanted was the little edelbrock one that looks like a mesh but they say they are fire hazards. i see them on tons of cars and have never heard of an actual fire but i dont think ill run one just in case

well i worked on the project today and got the carb, alternator, and heater hose fittings on. It was all going smoothly until i tried to put my spark plugs into my angle plug heads and one of them hit the header tube. and the other ones are perfect except this one. I have a picture of it and i would be very thankful for any advice on what to do!!:confused::confused: These headers were free so if theres another kind of header that works with angle plug heads please let me know

Re: "The 72" build
Ooo buddy good luck there.
On a side note-That edelbrock carb probably wont tolerate ALL the fuel that stock pump puts out. It'll probably flood and drip on that new aluminum intake. I know its easy to spend another guys money but you should relaly think about a diff carb or a edelbrock fuel pump OR a fuel pressure regulator. Edelbrockk doesnt like more than about 5-6 psi. Engien looks great |
Re: "The 72" build

Re: "The 72" build
no thats just my old cap that i used when i had it on my 307. its a pertronix flamethrower. i have a red cap with male ends coming from summit. i cant get much more done till my summit order comes. i hope it comes tmrw so maybe i can get the engine fired up on saturday. i may have to throw my stock manifolds back on just to get it running
|
Re: "The 72" build
spend some time on the manifolds maybe a lil port work or at least wire brush them and paint them with nice paint (i didnt and regret it now)
