But still waiting on my rear axles from Summit. As far as lighting a fire, It helps that I'm building it at my friends shop. It makes me feel that I have to make progress. Can't just let it sit there. Heck! He should be charging me rent. But I help him out when I can, Or if he gets backed up. My regular job is Electrcian/Electronics trouble shooting, So I fix any electrical problems that come in. Besides, Do what I do for motivation. Look threw the "Projects and Builds" look at there progress. It helps me get off my butt. And reapply some great ideas. Spike:smoke: |
Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
nice! love the reverse brindle, I do the home checking in my area for a few rescues that are across canada and specialize in all bully breeds as well as 2 that are solely pitbulls, love em all.

And was totally unbearable. They let him do what ever he wanted to. Then when got older, They wanted to put him down, Or turn him into the county pound. It took me about a month to train him. Jumping up was the hardest habit to break. But he has been the perfect family/guard dog since then. Here is the one picture that I have of him, It's a couple years old. My daughter had to hold him still and take the picture. Spike:smoke: |

I traveled with A.E. so I never even went to the office in Albany except twice. We did industrial work the 5 years I was there. Now I travel with Flash everyday working on store issues. I put around 55000 miles a year on my work van. |

I'm lowering the truck 3" F / 4" R drop. So to regain most
of the lost trailing arm pitch, I'm flipping the brackets over. This will reclaim 3 1/4" of the 4" lost. I removed the 12 hulk rivets, And replaced them with 16 bolts, Flat washers, Lock washer, And connicle nuts. Spike:smoke: |

In an earlier post, I said that I found my donor motor to be a create motor.
And that it only had a few months of use, Before being parked. If there were any doubts in my mind, Of the motor being very low miles, They are gone now!!!! I opened the top end of the motor, Because I'm installing a new cam, And rockers. What I saw was the cleanest motor I have ever tore apart. The only wear I saw, was some build up around a warming port, Where the gasket wasn't sealed properly. Spike:smoke: |
Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
now that looks promising nice work spike!!!

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

It wasn't one of the brands that I've used before. But it had the specs I was wanting. Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Duration 194/203 At .050 in. Lift Plus a set of 1.5 to 1 roller rockers. Edlebrock Performer intake, And a Holley 600cfm 4 barrel. I'm browsing threw my Summit Racing catalog, For a better timing chain setup, And some dress up items. Spike:smoke: |
Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
So tell me more about the summit axles..
There a bolt in say for my 68 c10 coil springs? all id need is the 5 lug drums? (got em) and my existing brakes (new) will work with em? |

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SAG-PA5855/ There are supposed to slip right into 65 - 69, You can even use them in a 63, Or 64 rearend, If you change the spider gears. Mine are still not here:( (ETA 1/08/11) I'm also going to Impala disc brakes in the rear. But for drums, It should be like a factory fit. I'll be sure to post any info I can, When I get mine Spike:smoke: |
Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"
