it's got a 351E, which means this motor was put in sometime after 1966....

Looks like the spiders like it as well. Be careful you don't get bit

Unbelievable...

I'm only a state away from Kansas City. Let me know if you'd like some help loading things up. I can make the trip.

I'll exchange a rental car for a family truck and hauler, then drive for 2,000 miles to Kansas City and literally "pick up the pieces" of this truck. Horribly disappointed after 4 years and a total of ~$30,000 (including purchase, shipping, parts, and payment to 4-5-6) that all I have is pieces of rust and a $1,000 airline ticket + travel expenses in the future.

Wow!!

This truck was the bomb back in its glory days. I too have been waiting on an update. I thought that you were going to surprise us all some day and you would post pictures of it completed. Sorry to hear the bad news. What exactly happened? Was this too far gone with all the rust or could you not come to terms with Tony? From the looks of its condition to pay someone to restore it back to the day it rolled out of the Orrville Metal Specialty Companies facility if I had to guess would be $60,000 to $80,000?

Re: Crewsin in my 63 GMC Crew Cab

Honestly I don't know what happened. Tony is the only one who knows, and he certainly isn't talking (to me anyway). I've been trying to get in touch with him for about 6 weeks but haven't heard anything back.
Too bad. This could've turned out so well for Tony. I think he would've gotten a lot of good publicity if this was handled differently.
I'm still waiting for a scope of service! That's how much non-communication I've had.

Any update on the retrieval of your truck yet? I sure would like to see this completed and restored some day.

cetacean6, I read about your Crewcab situation when I first joined the forum. I'm really sorry to hear that your troubles are still happening.

Was there any work done to your truck, or was it just dismantled and left?

Hey Rob, I hope this project is still in progress - I would like to see an update! I watched it sit for many years in Alaska, and even tried to buy it once about 15 years ago. Google Earth still shows it sitting at it's old home...

Re: Crewsin in my 63 GMC Crew Cab

I'm in Washington State around the Quinalt area for a few days. I think it's best to let this project go. I'm going on a day trip to Mount St. Helens today, but if someone wants to pick up the pieces of this truck and all the NOS parts I have, I think I'll be willing to let it go tomorrow or Saturday. I've got 50k into this pile of parts (including shipping from Alaska and to/from Tony).
I'll check my PM's tonight for offers.

Re: Crewsin in my 63 GMC Crew Cab

I didn’t get any activity here, so I’ll probably post this truck on Craigslist today. I go back to Hawaii on Wednesday and am hoping someone can grab the truck before then.
