Today, I made a little progress. I received some parts. The company that got me the parts is a local parts company. When I went to get them I opened the damage boxes I found that someone put a used part in a new box. Another set back.

Its a nice crisp color contrast if thats what your after, I like it. Now,,,,,are you coming to Oregon anytime soon? You will have your truck done in, ah, in like a week or so, I could use a hand. You ROCK:metal:

Re: 1968
Hmm more than two colors total is going to make it look like a clown truck, pick a two color theme, like for instance my theme is Black with red accents.

Today, was Sunday and in the Bible it says not to work on the sunday. I don't think this is work. I really enjoy spending time with my truck. anyway I cleaned up the rest of my springs and painted them sun yellow. Someone posted that it was a clown truck. I hope it does not turn into that.

Re: 1968

Also had my lower ball joints press in today.
|
Re: 1968
we are doing the same thing today. 2000 miles apart. funny.
and i dont think clown truck, i think those are parts you touched. if they were $$ spendy stuff they would come in what ever color that mfg made them, red bushing baby blue sway bar red springs white shocks and on and on. so keep at it. wish i wasnt so rushed i would like to tear deeper my self and paint it all. |

Today, I install all my linkage on the front end. Except on the driver side I still have to install the linkage to the spendle. I stopped cause I have to get my upper ball joint replaced. When someone sold me a used one in a new box. (guys check the boxes) Anyway

Nice job on the chassis rebuild, the dirty work is done, now for the artistic part of the build. I noticed you decided to go with front Drum brakes any particular reason?

Re: 1968
I ordered te rest of my parts for the motor install. So tomorrow I will marry the motor to the transmission and install it.
|
Re: 1968
You are one heck of a guy. Two very lucky boys. Nice work on the truck too.
|
Re: 1968
Nice progress as usual.
You are really making some headway on the truck. Have you thought about finding a relacement grill considering yours is pretty torn up, it might be more work than its worth to fix it. |
