After a little hiatus, I'm ready for my summer K10 Project.

Vintage Air A/C system, ordered today with LS Brackets, hopefully it's a somewhat smooth installation, but either way it will be fun and I will video the complete install :)

More progress, however since I am currently using the 81 K5 core support, it was not going to work. Which made a good opportunity to highlight the 98 Windstar fan install on the 84 K10 core support. :)

Got side tracked from the A/C install while I had the core support and front bumper off. Figured I might as well install a front receiver hitch, using the Reese 37042 that came with the truck when I bought it. I only had to modify it slightly, so it was free other than the few cents in welding wire and time :)

Not much for Sunday, but was able to cut holes for my cluster bezel vents and plasti dipped my crappy dash pad.

Finally got the video up from last weekend. Was able to hook up all of the Vintage Air lines as well as wiring, etc.

Finished up the vintage a/c install and tinted the windows. To anyone who is a professional window tinter that does not use a plotter, i applaud you :)

I am always disappointed when I spend a week or two in Vegas and I dont see this thing on the streets. You must be in Summerlin/ North Town area and never make it down to the SE much.

Nice job on the truck, good to see guys hitting the sand in their stuff

Thanks! Sand is great, and with my anti-theft patina people trip out when I'm scaling dunes! I can't wait to swap in the TH400 so I can squeeze a 200 shot and blast up comp hill ;)

I miss the patina most of vehicles down there. Up here its just rust holes the size of a small compact car


Mine is from Cali and has the typical late 80's flaking paint, but i suspect an older gentlemen owned it cause it looks like it was garaged most of its life

What sand dunes do head to? Is there some out side of town on the 95 by you or do you head out to APEX north of the racetrack?

I noticed you spend some time on the river, up or down stream of the dam?

It seems like everyone here drives a new car. I like Apex Dunes and Amargosa for day trips, I want to do Pismo again soon(before they close it!) For the river when I go it's down by the Nelson area.

Made more progress this weekend, removed the side trim and installed weatherpack connectors to my 4x4 lights.

More work, this time body work....ehhh I hate body work! I want it all one color so I'm going to rattle can it for now. I can't justify a quality paint job unless I do a frame off, which won't be for a few years. This should hold me over. :ito:

I decided to change direction slightly and will be taking my time and straightening out all of the body panels. I figured I should build up my body work skills on something, might as well be on this. At least if I put it in primer it will give me time to work one panel/section at a time. Body work tools on the way ;)

Yes, I have been slowly working on getting it in primer. It's been hot so I have been taking it slow, panel at a time, if not my respirator gets all sweaty lol. I should have the primer done either by the end of the weekend or next week some time. I'm hoping after some wet sanding it will look half way decent, or at least good enough to hold me over.

I wet sanded with 400/800 then got her washed up and set the new grill and light bezels in place, I need to get some mounting hardware. At least it's smooth enough to run a chamois over it. I need to find a cool bow tie for the grill.

Nice work looks great. Wet sanding gives a real appreciation for how much SF of body a full size long bed has!

Thanks, definitely a lot of work, I don't know how the guys with a year of rust repair do it!!! Your Long truck is looking great also!

Today I figured I would take you guys with me on a trail ride, the rocky section of the trail anyways. Locked front / rear on 35's got me through no problem, I almost turned around but figured what the hell!!!

Thank Marcus! It will probably be in primer for 10 years lol, so I'm ok with small dents and scratches. I just don't want to bash the side in or make it so a door won't open.

I got a good deal so I picked up a parts truck, going to replace my welded up 10 bolt and 14 bolt SF that has served me well with a 10 bolt / 14 bolt 4:10 full floater, and actually put a locker in the 14 bolt. I will probably weld the 10 Bolt because I'm cheap and hopefully it will hold me over until I pick up a Dana 60.

Got the 14 bolts swapped, that was fun with the K10 hanging half way out of the garage, my HOA loves me :)
