Now you got the idea... many engine management systems will use a negative relay trigger for their pump(s).
Nice build by the way... keep keepin' on. |

Thanks everyone! Been thinking about building some long tube headers that work on drop member/lowered c10's. Think there would be any interest in those?

The relay and fuse panel is mostly wired. My OCD was in full effect while doing this

I shaved the stock intake to make it look a little cleaner and less distracting. What it looked like stock http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...pswvn1vv5s.jpg

Re: 1964 Sleeper | 5.3 | 75mm turbo | Caged | 4 Link
Enjoying your amazing build. On your 4-link: Did you use equal length upper and lower arms? Are they exactly parallel or do you have some torque equalization built in?

I notched frame which was the last of the fab work so I put on a coat of por15.

Wow! With your skills you could work at any high-end custom fab shop in the world. Those headers are a work of art. Your Dad raised an amazing young man.

Re: 1964 Sleeper | 5.3 | 75mm turbo | Caged | 4 Link
Thanks everyone! Sorry for lack of updates! Been working on getting the cab all finished up finally. I had a spray can of matching woodland green mixed up so I could match the replaced panels. Also sprayed some rocker guard on floor to make it al little more durable as there will be no carpet.
http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3bwye9lx.jpg http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...psamganyle.jpg Really happy with how the cab turned out. There was a couple times when the cab was all cut apart I started searching the local classifieds for a new cab because I thought there was no way I would be able to pull of the rust repair. http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...pshzhdjjy7.jpg http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...psspqiywum.jpg And some more shots of the frame and motor. http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...psw1311itz.jpg http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...pstda26zur.jpg http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4tbaqote.jpg http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...pshbujedi7.jpg http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...pswfxsohw9.jpg Engine in! http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...pssqbs31cf.jpg Rolled it out today and got a cool shot with my dads and brothers trucks. 5 generations of chevy trucks! http://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...psghjk2d0f.jpg |
Re: 1964 Sleeper | 5.3 | 75mm turbo | Caged | 4 Link
I just removed most of the por15 from my frame. It would chip if I hit it with something then it would start to flake off in places. I ended up just shooting everything in epoxy. Hopefully you have better luck than I did!
