acid washed in rust remover, idk i got it on amazon after seeing someone use it on a thread here. the name is literally rust remover. less harmful than clr, doesnt require steel wool either so u can save the layers of paint and then I just hit them with clear wheel enamel.

Now I can actually see on the passenger side plus bonus points cuz its all the original hardware and seal holding in new glass
