Tony, do you do any trades or credit? I might like to buy some good, used NOS parts from you. Would a radio delete plate be worth something to you?

If Tony doesn't want the radio delete plate, PM me. I'd be interested.

Hi Tony,
Looking for a decent side trim set for my 64 chev. It's a longbed that will one day become short so I'm wondering if the trim could easily be cut down or if I should get the swb bed trim now and wait to run it. Also interested in the CHEVROLET glove box trim.

Ben:

I have a good, used set of rear fleetside sport bumper mounting brackets, as well as, a good, used pair of '60-'66 fleetside wheel tubs. Let me know if you still need these items and thanks for the opportunity.

Thanks for the opportunity and let me know what you have in mind. I have a few of the factory radio delete plates, but I would consider a partial trade toward other parts you need, so let me know your thoughts and thanks for the inquiry.

Mike:

Thanks for the inquiry. I have both, lwb & swb factory anodized aluminum trim kits, so let me know which one you are interested in and I will reply accordingly. I have never cut down any factory anodized aluminum trim, but I am sure the right fellow with the skill set and tools can do it with good results, but it may be money better spent getting the set you want and saving the money on modifying the trim for something else. Thanks for the opportunity and please let me know your thoughts.

Hey Bruce. Thanks for the inquiry. I don't have a clue about the '67-'72 era trucks, but I do know the factory power steering pump mounting brackets are as rare as "hens teeth" and I have only seen them in pictures...never in person. I believe the factory bracket requires the mounting surfaces on the factory intake/exhaust manifold castings, but I am not totally certain. You may try posting in the '67-'72 forum, as well as, the engine & driveline forum.

Sorry I am not more help to you with this matter, but please keep me in mind for other good, used 4-5-6 Chevy truck parts in the future.

Good to hear from you Kent. I sold the real nice one I had when you came by the shop a few weeks ago, however I just took one in trade, that has a diamond plate floor welded in it. The plate is welded in under the bed and wheel tub flanges, so it is well done and looks good. The only rust is at one mounting bracket at the wheel arch. If I keep it, I may have it sandblasted, primed and have the inside coated with bed-liner.

It is for sale and is in good overall condition, with the exception of the small spot on the wheel arch and the metal bed. The diamond plate is puddle welded at the factory bolt holes in the flanges, so it could be removed without a lot of trouble or time.

In any case, let me know your thoughts and we can discuss it further, if you are interested.

Thanks, let's talk about the SWB set and glove box trim.
