Re: 73-87 4x4s

It's a 81 and a total restore was done 8 years ago but sat the last 4 years, only has about 4,000kms on it since it was restored, still nice and clean. Have a few things to change but great overall, always needs more Hp though, coming soon and will post pic's too.

1979 High Sierra Jimmy . It has a lot of upgraded changes. It has the newer slant nose clip on it, off of a 1987 suburban. I put a manual 4 speed with a 205 transfer case with a 2 low kit, ¾ ton front and rear end that have 3.73 gears in. The front is a corporate 10 bolt, but i put a Dana 44 in it, the rear end is a corporate 14 bolt with a Lock Right. The engine is a 350 all stock, runs great . I put a 6" Rough country lift with 38x15.5R16 tire. It has never been wheeling.

T.Rokk, you look like your in the right country to wheel by the background. Can't wait to try mine out, only went once in the deep snow but waiting for engine parts, always need more power a stock 454 isn't enough. Looks like a fun toy your truck.

Ya but that's where I bought it from Yakima WA. I live in the sticks up by Mt St Helens. I also need new parts, the bolts for the sway bar and a New Steering Column, I broke it a few days ago.

Blazers are cool to build, I had 2 so far an older mid 70's with round headlights and an 86 both nice trucks that were great for when my kids we little so all 4 of us could ride together as a family, now they are bigger and drive themselves so went back to a 1 ton with a bed so can haul whatever.

Hey Mr Saskatchewan, looks like a beast with ethe 6" lift and Swampers, I am way up North in Sk at the Manitoba border wheeling in the woods and snow with my 1 ton. How about some more specs on the truck. Mudman.

Re: 73-87 4x4s

The pics right after a wash make it look way better than it is. It is super straight with quite a bit of rust. Bought it from a farmer that had a sprayer in the back for most of its life. It was a 350 4 spd, np 205, 4.10 gearing. I swapped in a 383 I had built for another truck and never used it. Pretty mild right now. It came from factory with A/C, tilt and tach. I'm thinking of getting some skinnier mudders like q78x 16s and going back to the original steel rims. This is just a toy that use around the farm a bit and have some fun with. I'm down in south Saskatchewan

Re: 73-87 4x4s

Well still sounds like a good useful truck the way it is, body and paint are always better from a distance, haha. The tires and rims make a big difference in the truck, like the way it sits now, I run a 38.5/14.50/17 but was looking at a 41.5/13.50/17 Pitbull rocker, but see what time brings and cash of course, enjoy your truck.
