Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
ya having no luck selling this yet though. I don't have Facebook so I posted on Craigslist, 5 miles, and offer up...no luck yet. I'm getting the front frame painted now along with the crossmember but that will be done by the weekend.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
Looking good. My project is kind of in the same place right now. It would be nice if they went back together as fast as they came apart

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
lol yup so easy to rip apart and the next thing I know I have parts laid across my yard for a year

some of my pics don't want to upload....but anyways. got the crossmember sanded down and painted up and back on. 60 bucks in new grade 8 hardware :(
not sure which route I want to go down now, haven't had any bites on my donor truck so my motor issue is still at a stand still. |

well, got the old ugly truck and motor sold and pulled in the replacement. 2002 tahoe, dash says 211k. waiting on my jump starter I ordered so I can try to crank it and see how it sounds. pulled off the wrecked stuff already. this one looks so much cleaner than the yukon one

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
Nice to hear the old one sold so you can keep moving forward

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
ya I slapped a battery on it and cranked it and it sounds pretty good. couldn't drive it since the trans lines were throwing oil everywhere lol.
gonna pick at it over the week and hopefully have it pulled by next week |

little grimey in the front and also looks like it had an oil pan gasket leak

Mine was the same way. I got lucky, I cleaned it all up and re-tightened the pan bolts and it quit leaking. Mine had some modifications done to it before I got it and I wonder if they forgot to go around and double check the bolts. I don't think a few weeks is out of the question for a timeline unless you have trouble getting something you need. Keep us posted on your progress. LockDoc |

Good deal. My engine was an LS1 so I didn't have to change anything on it. LockDoc |

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
I am chasing oil leaks on my 03 Yukon LS. Do you have any good pictures of the LH side of the engine?

little update got the motor cleaned, painted, and resealed for the most part. going to work on getting the headers on, motor mounts, then fix the leaky seal on the trans and they should be ready to mate back up

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!
I am leaking a lot of oil. Are there any sensors or anything else on the LH side where it could be coming from. I already replaced them crank sensor seal.

Thanks I know the vale covers are leaking and the rear main seal too. I am just trying to get all of the parts lined up so I only have to tear it down once.

thanks my drill bit came in about 30 minutes ago so I drilled and tapped the head....this made me nervous lol
I'm not sure if the stock 67 sender will work though. when I get to the cluster, I will be modding it like ls1nova did with the s10 speedo. I will be adding a clock and camaro tach, and delete the circuit board and make a harness. so not sure if the idiot gauge temp sender is used or the 5 hole cluster temp sender. I believe they are 2 different ones? |
