Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Babbyblue,
Yes there were stock and SOME RARE. Most get scratched up and then the shrink wrap starts peeling, gets rusty and the owners pull it off and paint the covers. I have 3 sets of VC 1 Plaid, and 2 regular, one I'm having Chromed and the other is painted to match the engine as factory. The only other parts on these trucks that is WAY HARDER to find is the Chrome Hood Ornamant, the Dinsmore Compass and the Electric Clock. I have all of them and I'm not letting anyone play with my toys in the sandbox. hehehehehehehehe  |

:chevy: Here's my 64 C-10 283 3 on the tree and I am going to start on it this winter all original except for the paint going pearl white. I will update pics as I work on it. The first pic of it in the yard thats how I found it in Alaska it sat for 17 years there and with some premium gas lead additive and a optima battery NO LIE it started right up and drove out.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Interesting truck, Can you fit behind the steering wheel with those buckets? Dual Antenna's, Arm rests, Radio. Did you drive it home from Alaska?
|
Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Yeah no problem with the buckets the guy I got it from said they are from a 55 Chevy but they are going to go away along with the dual antenna's....What about the arm rest and radio? and no the Army shipped it from Alaska to St. Louis then I went with a truck and trailer and picked it up. There is alot I still have to check into with it like the mirrors this is the only one I have seen like this you see alot of you might not know this but Fairbanks Alaska is like 60-69 Chevy truck heaven and everyone wants to sell them cheap I almost got a 69 impala for free all I had to do was haul it out of there. And the junkyards up there OMG!!!!!! Don't even get me started on them we would walk for hours through them they have so many old cars and trucks up there it is ridiculous.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Your mirrors are correct for the year, Junior West Coast. If you have the time look in the Historical/ This I know section. I'm an accessory freak so when I look at trucks I look for the accessories, thus the arm rest and radio comment. Be safe where you are buddy. You might want to check out Hilander451 webpage.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Why, they didn't all come with arm rest and radio's? I want to keep the radio but I found a awesome company that makes vintage radio's with digital displays and all the features you need for 10 disc cd changer, Ipod hook up and USB. But it's all hidden. And the radio looks original. here's the website for them. http://www.casmfg.com/ Also here is a website to all kinds of accessories for the 64 http://www.autoanything.com/truck/ch...2700A1964.aspx
