Thought I would share this since on this day in 1977, Elvis, no longer able to handle the pressure of being The King of Rock and Roll, decided to stage his own death and go into hiding.

I see these vehicles are in this pic:
Chevy PU - 69 or 70
Ford Maverick
Big Ford or Caddy?
Pontiac, maybe a Bonneville?
VW Bus
and on the other side:
Impala Wagon, 67 or 68
Chevelle
Ford LTD?

Cool picture!

This is the truck my dad drove when he was in the CCC's in the 30's. I think it was a '34 Chevy.

I think you are right on that being a '34 Chevrolet. I had a '35 Chevy panel years ago. Hood vents were a little different. Very cool pic!

I never had a Chevy truck until recently but had a ton of other cars and trucks, so I guess I'll share those >

People come from all over for pipeline work. Could it be an Alberta tag?

Some of the most interesting photos in this thread have no text what so ever. Even if you know nothing about the picture, please just say so. Thanks. It's either that or I (others, too) may get curious enough to bother you with a PM asking about one or more.

I can't believe it! This is a picture of C. Speck Motors in my home town of Sunnyside, Washington. I loved their show room because it was right on the street and I would wander in as a kid and look over the new Chevys and Buicks. That building is now the offices of the Sunnyside Daily Sun News, and the dealership is out on the east edge of town and you can't just walk by it on the sidewalk any more. I sure miss it.

Well, it's not a truck but it is vintage and GM at least. These go back to '54, my dad and his 1950 Oldsmobile 88. The car is long gone but dad just turned 83. ;)

I checked to see if I had posted before, #607. I found my family took many cool pictures, have scanned and posted on Flickr.

To stay with the Chevy theme, dad's father bought this new, traded for a '72 "Chevy" LUV POS before he died.

Hope you enjoyed these. I have many of each vehicle, could milk this topic out for awhile.
