here are a few pics of my truck that i am enjoying more than my 69 camaro and other cars at the moment. Just waiting on my disc brake and drop spindle kit to come over, then i can put my 20inch showwheels on too.

the site has been very helpful

Here is a before and after. Just got it finished last summer after 2 1/2 years, really enjoyed the hunt for parts and meeting fellow members along the way.....

Great forum!

Very nice truck. What color orange is this, it looks a little light to be Hugger Orange. Is it a factory color like 516 Omaha/Tangier Orange.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

The color is actually the same color of the allied car transportation trucks. It was color matched off a Gunk engine degreaser can.

looking good how did u drop front?

Talbotdd 01-11-2013 11:44 PM

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Tommy,

I "cupped" the lower control arms so the airbags would sit down inside them. It really brought the front down a lot.

what did it cost ya if u dont mind asking?

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

I bought the 1/4 plate steel at the scrap yard for a few bucks and got the 8" pipe from work for free. So it really only cost me my time.

It took me about 4 hours to do both sides.

Thanks RINC, I like your 72' as well! Big light blue trucks definitely catch an eye or two, and its nice being able to drive it all faded without worrying about getting scratches on a fancy paint-job!:chevy:
