Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I was in Air Force and fixed a plane from Homestead in 2006, my Dad took me there when I was a kid and I was shocked at how much damage was still there when I went back. I still had an awesome time down there, caught a 48 Dolphin :D!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Put in a fresh transmission filter, rear seal, plus new cooler lines; drilled the frame and installed the tranny cross member so it's no longer on an angle and hanging on by 2 bolts; tinkered with the e-brake assembly I made; changed the oil & filter; put everything back together, but ran out of sunlight, so knock on wood tomorrow I'll be driving her after a month of having her up on jacks.

I flipped the cab on it's back and started its clean up. It was much nicer than I thought. NO undercoating. The cleaning so far took less than an hour with a scotch brite and my shop vac. Just dirty.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I replaced my old beat up door with a donor door from CoyoteRun, who is a great mechanic and all around good guy. Need to do the rocker too though. It shows more with a straight door that isn't um..."blended" well with it's own big dent.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Tired of not having a place to set a drink in Brutus so I whipped this up for $7! Pleased with how it came out. Simple, stable and almost invisible unless you are looking for it!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Did my first pipe or C-notch today and it wasn't half bad...
Even though I measured and worked off the trailing arm I messed it up since I didn't consider the 2" drop blocks... Soooo the bad half is it's an inch or so too far back on the frame... Oh well - cheap education - just hate to mess up when it's avoidable. Live and learn - rg |

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Solved a pesky leak from the recent engine swap. It was a loose bolt on the back of the power steering pump. Probably loosened it up to remove the pump, and never went back to check or tighten it since nothing attached to it. Apparently it went into the reservoir as tightening it up eliminated the problem.
