Just let me know when you plan to hit the Pavilions or some other car show and I will spin over. I put 50 miles on it in downtown Phoenix yesterday. 108 degrees and no A/C. I am not scared. :ito:

I test fit my 88 Camaro world class T5 on the bell. I already swapped in a tail housing from an S10 to move the shifter forward. Looks like I can use my e-brake cross member as a tranny support. It's in the perfect location. I'll remove the center e-brake mechanism and remove the frame rivets and bolt it on instead.

Worked on getting the antenna installed. The new after market unit I got from LMC (same as others I would suspect) may all have this problem.

The existing hole from the factory (you can tell if it OEM factory because the hole has a slight notch) is designed for a slightly different antenna base. The one from the kit will need to have the rubber bushing/gasket glue in place to hold it while you tighten down. Also the lower mast brace is too short, I had to make a new one from a piece of flat bar aluminum.

Picture 1 shows the original and the new heavier long brace. I was able to use the supplied speed washers and wrap-around.

Picture 2 shows the hole you have to drill to mount the brace through.

Picture 3 shows the new brace mounted.

Picture 4 shows the assembly braced at bottom.

Pictures 5 shows the size of the kit supplied vs. home made brace.

Con't

This is the new antenna, although leaning inward, there is nothing I can do about it right now until I find a different mount.

Also you will have to use a step drill to enlarge the factory antenna cable holes because of the heavier insulation.

All in all about an hours work.

When I finished up with the antenna, I mounted the spotlight. I replace the switch wire as well. Added the mirror as well

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Left my ignition switch on last week or the week before, so I tried to jump it today with the wagon so I could take the dog to the river. Ended up having to pull the wagon's battery to put in the C10 to get it started, then swapping the dead battery back in while it was running so the alternator could charge it. I hadn't made the ignition mistake in a long time.

Took out the crappy electric fan, put the flex back in with the broken taped together shroud.
Drove it all over North Texas.
Cleaned it some more and took some pictures of it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Found out that my driveline I had done had a yolk with the weep-hole in it. it leaked about a quart of the trans fluid on my driveway. So today I JB welded the weep-hole shut as the yolk doesn't move like on a one-piece driveshaft truck.
