Actually I don't expect to replace much. My engine has only about 15,000 miles on the rebuild. The PO gave me a boat load of paperwork/receipts all for the engine work that had been done. We'll see though. With my luck, it will need a total overhaul. :sexy: |

After that crossmember, I've just bin staring.... Putting the front of the motor back together, permanently! Gotta figure out a PVC system, Ive got the Offy breather mounted, just have to buy a valve and plumb it into the air cleaner. Work on the exhaust to mount up everything, then it's on to carb, distributor, and radiator Then.... Vroooom, Vrooooom:lol: |

Re: PO has me PO'd
Here is my current problem, I am done mockup and into final assembly. I want to bring the heater outlet hose into this location, but w/o a cobbled up looking mess. Soooo, I plan to make a W/P outlet tube longer and be able to thread into it a 45 degree 1/2"X5/8" barbed fitting. That alone could be a problem since that is not a standard fitting

You know, I've never checked to see if the threads on a water pump are pipe threads or parallel. I just assumed they were NPT or it would be very hard to keep them from leaking. Hmmm. |

I think its a Proforma, but I'll check Here's a pic of the outlet that needs to be longer so I can drill and tap a 1/2" NPT. The outlet from the water pump is 1" NPT http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace631.jpg |
Re: PO has me PO'd
Thanks Tim for the answer...Alum. 1"NPTX2 1/2"nipple(don't go there) with a full coupling. Now I can machine a flat on the factory Proform water pump outlet and drill and tap a 1/2" NPT female to put my hose barb in...again, don't go there, lol
Down the road I will modify this using thin wall pipe and the high pressure 1/2 coupling to eliminate the ugly threads that show Parts were here from Mcmaster-Carr in 1 day, the greatest hardware store you ever want to visit Pics?...OK http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace634.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace636.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...replace637.jpg |

Where exactly are you going to machine a flat and drill and tap for the hose barb? Just curious. |
