At the C10 Nats today. The Blue/White 72 C20 is mine and the 67 step side belongs to a good friend.

At one point, I had my '68 C/10 Stepside, '67 K/10 Suburban, and '71 GMC K/1500 Jimmy all running at the same time. Around 1995 -98. Gas and insurance were killing me. Had to remember to run each one a couple of times a week, to keep the circulation going. Then the Jimmy blew the PO's engine. The Sub had an engine fire in '98 and I parked it. We re-engined the Jimmy in '99. The Stepside needed an engine change in 2002. It was back on the road in 2005. I've since found collector car insurance is a lot cheaper than the regular policy. Also with vintage plates, the trucks can skip the annual Emissions testing. |
Re: Did I missFront end Friday
Yes collector ins helps at least NY has a rolling 25 year cutoff for emissions testing .

Ohh and last night the shift cable went on my Envoy misses backed out of a parking spot and the shift just flipped around . Had to climb under it and manually shift it to get it home . |

The '68 C/10 Stepside starts and runs, but since the 4/22 collision, the propshaft is bent and I get excess vibration above 55 MPH. I need to drop the shaft and get it inspected. Too hot to work during the day, and too much noise to do it at night. I could run it to the supermarket, if I went slow, but don't want to. The '67 Sub's just a pipe dream, and the '72 Blazer tub is a parts horse. |

Yep, great weather in the PNW.
Casper42 reminds me every time I see his beautiful “FEF” truck, that I need to get busy and mount my OE bumper guards. Enjoy the weekend all!:flag: |
