Re: my 80 build
Step away for a little bit. But don't sell it. Good work takes time. Dont rush yourself you'll go crazy. Dead lines are ment to be broken. You put to much hard work in it just to give up on it now.

Re: my 80 build
I agree with everyone. Selling your truck now would be like throwing money away. I can appreciate selling a vehicle once it's finished, or the sell price is equal to or better than the investment. You've gone this far. See it through, drive it, enjoy your masterpiece. If you still feel like selling the truck after driving it, your choice... Great progress BTW.

Re: my 80 build
don't worry guy's its going nowhere, I'll just through more money at it

Re: my 80 build
Man.. It doesn't cost anything to have it not be done. (unless your paying storage). I've moved my junk around for 8 years and across the country until I finally got building it. This thing is way to nice to give up now. You will regret it if you sell it.

Re: my 80 build
Aaron, you've done an amazing job. Thank you for inspiring me. I have been without a vehicle since I got into a nasty wreck coming home from Sacramento. I am just now picking my truck back up. Keep at it bud. Your ride is my inspiration and I'd love to see you finish it :D

Re: my 80 build
You should really have that fresh paint on the firewall covered w/masking paper & tape while all the work is going on in the engine compartment.

Re: my 80 build
thanks smoke, I got a little done in the past two weeks, got the gauges mostly wired up, added a 2 gauge ground cable for the block to the ground and the grounds for the body to frame and engine and added a second ground to cylinder head to the frame, got some 8 gauge wire to run from the battery to electric fan, also found some problems with my engine harness I had a least two wires pull out terminal pins, so fare they told me there sorry and they send me some replacement pins, but I have sent some pictures of the poor craftsmanship and waiting to hear back. I have ordered a blackbear tuned computer, and in the process of purchasing some captain fab rear disc brake brackets and wilwood d-52 caliper package

Re: my 80 build
Thanks for being an inspiration to me. I am about to attempt the same thing more or less and your thread is awesome in how you kept after it. Don't give up. I know I'd like mine to be done too, but I've got years to go before that will happen. Hopefully I can get a thread started once I figure out how to do that.
Keep after it Aaron and the fruits of your labor will be great! |
