I believe the blue theme is a leftover scheme from an older version of the software that runs the board and has not had all the quirks worked out. There is a lot of changes in the software programming between this version and the older version that there blue theme was made with.

If that is not it, at least I sounded like I knew what I was talking about

Though your thread was lacking some ass. Can you still buy those vette bezels? I was thinking about stealing your idea and putting a couple on my truck. Think it would work on a fleetside? Maybe two on the same side?

Thanks for spicing things up. It's been boring around here lately. I don't see why it won't look good on a Fleetside. Go for it :metal:

Here's a new one for ya.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

I actually got to do a little work on the truck today. I started to port the heads on the 350 motor. I got the exhaust ports done on one head, and primered the bare metal on the right side of the truck.
When I do porting I just clean up the ports and get rid of any sharp edges or bumps. I try to make them flow freely without opening them up. I'll also port match them when I get the gaskets. I also try to make them all feel the same with my finger gauge. I've done a lot of Chevy, VW's and motorcycles the same way. And it works. You can't over do it though or you can make less power. No pictures because there's not much that will come out good in a photo. Tomorrow I will have the truck back on the lift. Then I will make more progress. :metal:

Yes it's very time consuming. On my 56 Belair I had a 327, Edelbrock Performer intake, Quadrajet, 194 heads, shortie headers, and a 3:08 Posi. No performance cam, just ported. I turned 15.5 sec in a 1/4 mile. I think it was all because of the porting. I never did put a cam in it. It would for sure wake it up, and probably turn in the 14's I wanted to put a 3:70 gears in it also, but never did that either.

I'm delivering the 62 Impala body only tomorrow morning so the body shop can do the out side body work & paint. I'm done with the floor & trunk panel replacements, and rust repair. Next I do the frame.

The good news is I finely got the truck on the lift. Now to get the body set down in the back some more. Then restore the frame. Stay tuned.
