I dont think you need to do anything else with the height, it looks perfect. also, i think the nut for the brake hose is a 5/8-18 it may be 3/4-16. you can use a jamb nut for a much cleaner look than the factory 4x4 sheet metal nut. but, you will have to crack the line and re-bleed. a coated loom clamp on the a-arm will hold the hose nicely.

Thanks Ryan!! I plan to use a coated clamp and bolt for the hose.

It was definitely not a waste. Your truck looks great and I'm pretty confident you should be able to keep a similar ride height with the bags but with the added bonus if being able to lift the truck if any clearance issues present themselves like potholes. Check out BigAl71's build thread. He has some pictures of his truck at ride height and I believe he runs the ridetech bag hats in the rear of his. His looks to ride close to how your sits now.

Thanks Keith. I'll check out big Al's thread. I am surprised how much better the truck rides with the proper drop springs. It rode pretty good before but it rides so much better. Can't wait to do the rear bags

Nice that's what I'm talking about. The ride height of Al's truck looks pretty damn sweet and probably close to your current ride height Shawn.

Mine will be the same ride height but lower aired out due to me running custom front inner fenders and raising the bed floor. Not all of us can afford all of the awesome porterbuilt parts ;)

Shawn - the truck is looking great! Just wondering, its been a while since you put in the 700r4, been tracking the mpg? I'm still gathering parts for my swap but curious to know how positive the change was (besides driving comfort!)...

Yes and its about 13.25 miles per gallon, but I have since re tuned my carb for more gas friendly driving. I'll keep you updated.

Ok guys just one issue, I re-bleed the brakes and got a lot of air out. Pedal feels nice and firm but it feels as though there is no power brakes. Truck stops good but my easy toe stops are gone. Any ideas? Corvette master maybe?

Is the vacuum line hooked up to the booster?

It was when I started this upgrade  I will have to check. I had awesome brakes with the drum setup and it stopped with light pressure on my toes. I did install the master for manual brakes which has a smaller bore. I did this because my old master was for manual brakes.

Is the new master for discs or drums? sounds like the wrong master to me, should still have "toe stops" with the discs:confused:

The new master is for manual not power brakes. Not sure but I don't think any Corvettes in 1975 came with drum brakes......I hope :uhmk:
