Pic 1. This is my scribe gauge I made a while ago.
Its fully adjustable

Pic 2. Make a perfect line set at the length you need.

Pic 3. Cutting the tube in half for a lower riser.

Pic 4-5 I'm using (My friend John's) porta-band from Harbor freight (Bauer) and have it mounted to a portable table from swag off road.
The saw is usually on sale $140 and the table goes for $125, This super useful for cutting tubes under the vehicle and with the table you can cut shapes pretty easy.

thats a neat setup! thanks for the tip, I have always wanted a small band saw setup and that is certainly not expensive.

Joedoh, It's a really handy unit to have.
Cuts through tubing like butter!

I have the Milwaukee saw (got used on Craigslist) and that Swag table. Yes, it will cut! Like Reaper said, it's nice.

update:

Pic 1. This is why I was showing the saw, I cut it in half to make risers for the radiator. the radiator has a pocket on the bottom and these will fit inside of it and lock it in place.

Pic 2-3 I made these plates to tie in the upper fender to the radiator uprights.

Pic 4. Cut and welded in.

Pic 5. Starting to take shape.

Great tools, these bandsaw, my buddy has one too!

Great idea for the radiator!
Within a few day I have to build a radiator in the Mustnag II of my son, his alternatorbelt went through it...
You give me great ideas!! Thanks!

dude that saw set up is awesome. I like that is not a huge unit that is planted in my already tiny garages!!! Core support is looking good. I'm in the process of designing one myself. thanks for the tips!

Kees, speaking of Mustangs this is a customer's car I had done suspension, rear end etc. On a few years ago.
He had some fender damage that needed fixing, anyways I talked him into respraying the car in matte clear.

Thanks 99!

It beats having to cut everything with a cutoff wheel (and the stink of said wheel) by a mile!! and it takes up minimal space.
I've seen some guys making a stand for these that can be moved around the shop.

Pic 1. Radiator set in place, now I can make a upper mount.

Pic 2. I didnt take shots during this step.
The 2 bolts closest to the radiator come out and the upper mount lifts a bit and slides out.

Pic 3. a closer look of the passenger side where it's slotted to slide around the filler neck.

Pic 4. Now I can move on to the radiator splash apron, I had one but it was so tore up I cant use it. So i will need to find a new one.

Not much of an update, but here is a few shots of the truck with the hood back on.
I needed to put the hood on to check fitment of the hood to fender placement. I will need to make some adjustments with the core support I made to help with the fender support.

looks outstanding, really really nice work.

I am waiting on a DAR determination this morning, leafing through the AD FSM with my coffee looking at how to adjust the hood, I moved my hinge and that didnt really help anything.
