I picked up fir cones and sold them to Weyerhaeuserfor $2 a gunny sack and got pitch all over my skin.clothes,,every thing ,,lots of kids today would not take off their MJ shoes to do so..

ya, sorry fellas, no hard luck stories from me either.. raised on a working farm..

folks didn't have a lot of cash but we were never for want of anything we needed ;)

endless list of chores I grew up on, and doing my best to impress upon my kids to work hard at their endeavors..

I left home for basic two weeks after graduating high school with my dads rusty old cutlass worth maybe $500

when he gave it to me at 16yo through chores earnings, I had 6mos of fuel from the tanks and their insurance..

after that, all on my own to where I am today, homeowner in OC CA and debt free for several years :D

Been a few years since I have fished for trout. My dad and I used to go fly fishing a couple times a year. Still have out rods!

That is great Larry! I love it when I can get my son to go fishing with me.

If I don't catch any lunkers this Sunday, I may head down your way to have your grandson take me fishing.

His Great-Grandpa used to be a guide on White River, Bull Shoals lake.

The kids spend a lot of time on the lake in the summer.

We are building a campground for the Corps of Engineers on Bull Shoals Lake and the kids were going over to check on the job that Saturday.

My son in law said he happened to think about the fishing on the way over and stopped at Wal-Mart and got the rod.

Davis (My grandson) had a ball. His mom had to take a picture of every fish.

We have Beaver, Table Rock, Bull Shoals and Norfork Lake right here.

Come on down when you get retired and all that remodeling done.

If your into canoes and kayaks, we have the Buffalo River for floating.

One of my favorite old films is The Quiet Man with John Wayne and Maureen O'hara.

I have a cabin on Lake Fork in Texas. It is about 90 miles east of Dallas. I will be heading down there in a couple weeks.

I have fished a couple tournaments on Table Rock. It is a great fishery!

I have a Lake Fork picture somewhere. I guess on my computer at the shop.

We are looking at motorhomes. I told my brother in law, the fisherman, the other day, we needed to run down to Lake Fork when I get the purchase done.

I have been going down there since it opened in early 80's. Have a lot of good memories from fishing there!

My dad and I bought a cabin in '00 after they had a big bass kill off there. Wish we could of bought a couple more now.

All the trucks got bought up by people who don't need them, leaving some poor unfortunate folks no choice but to find alternatives.

Trucks are used for just hauling people
Attachment 1755856

causing SUVs being used for 5th wheeling,
Attachment 1755855

cars being converted to haul horses,
Attachment 1755857

and what trucks are left for work are being pressed into service long past their practical limits

I know! I'd say that truck is absolutely unsafe, but he is wearing a face shield after all.

Was that transporter in the hijack thread? Hard to say. Facebook hijack, what's the difference? Here are both. This first shot after careful chain-link alignment and the second corrected one with extra care given to alignment.
