Installed Hood Brace Pad kit, adding a little quiet to the rolling oil drum.
Took a flat screwdriver to the front end yesterday, scraped a couple decades of mud and gook off the thing, then turned the power washer loose on it. Next is to pull the calipers and rotors and start ordering parts. All the steering joints feel solid and move free, all rubber is intact, ball joints feel pretty good too, but need to pull it apart anyway. |

Replaced my rusty reverse lights, and connected them up...to a switch, don't have it setup on my shifter yet. Had to keep the old lenses, new ones looked far too clean on my old POS. Of course, this is largely for those behind me to GTF out of the way, 'cause I can't see a damn thing back there. |

Started prep for a re-paint. Wow, the damage a set of bed hooks can do. I never addressed these properly the last time I painted it 10 years ago, but hopefully this time it wont be waving at me after I shoot the gloss to it.

I don't remember why I took it off, but beings we're coming into summer, I put the 60-62 fan shroud back on.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Largely finished the install of Dual Electric Fans this morning. I found a fan set that mostly fit, but I still needed to fab up a mount for it. Of course I thought of a better way after it's all installed, but that's how it goes...will change it later, works fine for now.

It has been over 10 years, cost too much money, and took gobs of time.
It is finally near completion and I actually drove it today. Just a few small items left to do. |

Does anyone else have certain virtual senses kick in when they see pics like that. I can almost smell the freshly ran engine, the new paint, and even the interior. And it smells good.
