This is my kinda truck, wish I had the space for it. I wonder if it’s a highlander.
https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ct...117058850.html 1972 Chevy 1/2 Ton - $5000 350/350 automatic, AC, PS, new belts, new water pump, new fuel pump, ran really good on a gas can, I drive it over 20 miles, I drained out the gas tank, I should have taken it out and cleaned it, I drove it about 3 miles and it started running crappy, so it needs a little TLC, but the drive train is good, I do have two chrome strips that go on the sides, Truck is on a non-op so there are no extra fees, truck is in pretty decent shape, a little rust as you can see when you open the door $5000, won’t respond to emails without a number, call Attachment 2010387 Attachment 2010388 Attachment 2010389 |
Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I wonder about the Highlander option too. Could be but the I wonder why anyone would ever remove the DELUXE badging from under the Custom/10? From what I know all Highlanders were Custom Deluxe.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
It could have been wrecked early on and had the front clip replaced.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Hard to say if a highlander. With a/c, a package truck would have included tilt as Greg mentions. The carpet and dash pad are so dirty, I can't tell is they are tan or black. With a sandalwood column, it's possible this was just a regular non-highlander custom deluxe with parchment interior. Would like to see the SPID... It's either a YG8 with tilt swapped for non-tilt, or a non-"package" highlander with the seat cover long gone, or it's just a regular custom deluxe non-highlander with a parchment interior (and original column).

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I bet is a saddle interior non-highlander given the color of the column and the matching ac vents. Saddle dash too?

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
Pete is right not a hylander column is the answer

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
It ain't on CL, but there is a 3/4T D-D-D-truck around the corner from me that has been for sale for a long time. I'm guessing that it is about a '70. I know how to fix 'em, but hesitate at the D-D-D- part. It's painted purple, to boot! If it sits much longer I guess I'll have to break down and talk to the guy about a price. I want another truck but finding a long bed step side Chevy or GMC for sale seems to be like looking for hen's teeth. I'd take anything between '48 and '72, but it would have to be in decent condition, as far as the body goes. I'm not a body man, but the rest is something I can do...though I'm getting old.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds
I'm Jonesing on that green one! Looks like only surface rust. And the price is mighty attractive, too! The bubble gum machine on the roof has to go! That Napco is very cool, but I sure don't need a 4WD.

Back to our regular programming. Not my ad. No pictures. No real information. Could be a gold mine or a rust pit.

If that thing wasn't on the other end of the world, I would look at it. I don't know if I could get my wife to go up in that country to pick up another truck or not. I'm betting she would stay here and have the locks changed while I'm gone. |
