Has anyone had any problems getting parts from C.P.P. ? I have been waiting almost a month for my spindles and booster. They just told me another 2-weeks. Is there a better supplier that I can get 8-lug disc spindles etc... from?

Someone makes a reproduction auxillary battery box, but I can't remember who it is. Sometimes you can find them on the board for sale.

No clue.

****

I finally have it back on all 4's. I have the CPP 13" disc brakes and spindles mounted. All I have left to do is connect the front brake lines and hook up the master cylinder. I also have the air bag stuff is reconnected. All I have left to do is mount all the level sensors and then I should be able to give the AccuAir system a test run. Here's a few pictures. There not the greatest. As soon as the weather clears up I'll roll it out of the garage and take some better ones.

The burb looks great. You should be cruisin in it again this summer. Still can't get over the change from the green machine I used to see at Whiting. May have missed it but did you get your rear wheels straightened out?

I hope your right, at least thats the plan. Yeah big change but my daughter still calls it the "booger",. I'm waiting on the new wheels....

Well after looking at this site, http://www.streettrucksmag.com/tech/...air-management, I think I've about got the AccuAir level sensor mounting figured out.

Thanks, it's quite heavy. I'm going to have to come up with some strong automotive adhesive to attach it.

Thanks! I think it depends on how you have your personal settings that determines the number of posts on each page.

Thanks Nate. This piece and the side trim will probably be the last thing I put on.

Thanks. I was shooting for the Power Tour, but I've been busy job hunting so I may have to drive the 68 on the Tour and take the Burb to CTC.

OK, for the updates.

1. Fuel filler and vent connected.
2. New brakes installed (still need to connect the front brake lines)
3. All air ride installed including the level sensors (minor wiring left)*
4. Power steering lines connected.

* The only way I can describe the AccuAir system is..... FREAKIN AWESOME! :metal: There may be equivalent systems out there, but I doubt you will find any that are better.

What's next?

1. Wire the motor
2. Wire everything else
3. Mount radiator and fans
4. Mount a/c condensor and run lines
5. Mount supercharger intercooler
6. Glass ordered and should be installed next week.
7. Install gauges
8. Install tilt column
9. Make brackets for rear buckets (and then have them reupholstered)
10...................

Enough of that. Here are some pictures, :D.

Looks great Rob!!!....Not sure if you said this earlier but was there any reason why you chose to put a 5.3L engine in?? I keep telling my Dad that I want to do a burb with a 5.3L, but he keeps saying that I should go with a 6.0L because the burbs are heavier?!?!

Geoff, at the time I bought the motor the 5.3's were about $1000 cheaper than the 6.0s. I've made up for the HP difference with the supercharger, :D. Plus, my wife's 03 Suburban has a 5.3 and and weighs about 1500 pounds more. I have been very impressed with the way it performs.

I forgot to add that they MPG on the 6.0's (12-14) are really low as compared to the 5.3's (17-20). At least that's what I have been told. Either way you go, they both are great motors that are far superior to the older stuff (JMHO,).
