The one that's hooked up on the lower left is the correct one for the vacuum advance.

Ok, went up crushers today (mboro tn) checked out his truck and filler, drove his truck :) lol, he needs steering column bearings, anyone know a PN? (has separate post in 67-72 section)

Anyhow, I forgot to get pictures, but I checked out his gas filler and im copying it, he cut out my stake pocket with torch and went with me to insure that I got the correct pipe, I'll start...maybe this week, I got alot of little things to do! Truck runs good! Im searchin everyones back barn for a 72 parts truck LOL

-sparkplug wires/looms
-fix waterneck leak, bent, I bought some paint ima take my old one off my old motor to see if its straight (OEM pieces)
-exhaust leak (cant quite tell..)
-prop. valve
-install rear wheel cyc. shoes
-valve cover leak
-gas filler/new cap and chop neck off another tank
-ground straps
-longer choke cable
-thats all! boy what a list! LOL

I've still got this cab setting here waiting on you. It has a good throttle cable on it as well... you could kill 2 birds with one stone.

The plug goes to your fan speed resistor. Its mounted to your inside heater box, kinda hard to see.

Brakes, follow this! http://www.pbase.com/nufsed/drumbrake

Umm k

Fixed my parking brake today! (was torn from T bone accident)

Got 1 side of my brakes done (new shoes/wheel cycl) didnt make it pretty in there, sorry :) No brake cleaner and I cant drive with no back wheels/tires LOL

Tinkered with other misc that wasnt important enough to list, also, Im ordering a new prop. valve with brakcet and lines, hopefully after this week/next few days, my brake issues will be resolved..

Think autozone will warranty my rotors/pads for the 2nd time for 'premature wearout' :) :)

Everything is there from the pedal to where it attaches to the carb. I'm not crazy about meeting you with it, it's hard for me to find the time, and I don't want to load/unload etc.. I'm only 30 minutes from Cookeville.

oldblue1968chevy 10-05-2010 05:31 PM

Re: "Rice Rocket'

I understand phillip, I may have to plan a trip up there to come get that thing..

Truck is running decent, I need a longer choke cable (factory cable is too short, about 4" to be exact)

Im going to do the other side (pas.) brakes and put my new lines on! Maybe go for a drive in the dark? Man, I hate you guys, I have to come in, get a snack read through all the updated posts in all the sections...etc etc :)

ok BYE NOW IM GOING TO GO TRY TO WORK!!! LOL
