Nice truck, but the GVW does not make any sense. A single Axle Chevy should not have any more than 35,000 at the most. Unless it used to be a Tandem Axle truck.

"478 V8 high torque gasoline engine"
Nope, the 478 was a V-6

Good write-up on the 637 V-8. As some may remember, I had a 637 Gas in the '71 GMC 9500 I used to drive. An interesting fact is that it was coupled with a 10-Speed Road Ranger Trans. Since the first day we received that truck in April of '72, up to today, I still have never seen, even in pictures or even heard of another with that combination.

I liked it, although I would had much preferred a 6-71 or even a 6V-53, but with it's weak torque, it required a lot of shifting. If it saw a hill coming, I was downshifting, lol.

Article says the 702 twin-six could run up to 15,000 hours on minimal maintenance.

Strange as it is basically two 351's.

In my opinion all the V-6's were pretty impressive.

Man, I would love to get my hands on that. I have no real need or plan for it, but it looks in good condition. Or as good of condition as one photo can show.
