Love the hood! Looks awesome. Kinda jealous, I would like to have one for my rig, really dig the look. I have a hood and it works, so got to direct the funds to getting her running hahaha.

Been working on putting my engine back together and cleaned and painted up the distributor and vacuum advance, it used to have a 1/4" of dirt and grease covering it.

Thanks bill, it'll be a while before it gets back in as I still need to install the new crossmember and build some motor mounts but I'm getting there:chevy:

Hey Nik,

Distributor looks nice. What's the plan for your motor mounts?

Started to dig into the new hood today. It's rusted right through in this spot, even the part of the inner brace is rotted out, and this is the good side of the hood:no:

But before I repair that I decided to do a little custom work, this seam looked a little ugly to me so I thought I'd fill it in and blend it all together. The before:

And then I finished off the day with some fancy artwork on the side covers. I outlined the pre existing bodylines with the green implement paint

While I have the core support and engine out I figured it was the best time to fix the rust in the other inner fender. The drivers side I did allready almost a year ago. So here's what I'm dealing with

And here's the finished product, needs just a skim of filler and then I'm ready to paint:metal:, progress may slow down for the next month as I am going to be now working full time :( but at least I'll be getting lots more money to put into the truck $$$!

And then I picked up this cool old spotlight from the late 40's that someone has already switched the bulb out to 12volt and it works great and Chrome is in pretty nice shape as well, best of all it only cost me $20:chevy:
