Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
How does that work man? With the Tires in the bed like that ? or is it not finished yet
Looks pretty unique if not Nice truck though |
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
It's not finished yet, he can make or buy inner tubs and a floor too. Sure is a nice setup.
|
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
No it's not finished yet. I will fab inner tubs into the bed along with the front fenders, there is still a lot to do on it. I did find however that the motor has been bored 30 over making it a 468 which is pretty cool.
|
Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
.030 over bore on a 454 is a 460, .060 over is a 468.

Here are a couple of pix- the license plate is a 68 Alberta farm plate, which is now on the front bumper - found it in Maine (?) on Ebay.
The second is the 68 parked in her fave spot - a gas station... 3rd has the truck loaded up to bring kayaks back, after the orange one chucked me into the cold, glacier-fed Bow River for about a mile... good times :) |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
It was done before I owned it, about 15 years ago. Between the chop and lower the truck roof is below chin height on my 6'2". The seat was also lowered, making it a bit tight, but there is still room for a set of buckets which will be going in soon...

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
The first decent day we have had here since I bought this, so I took some time to spruce it up some. 1968 - 327/350. Wheels soon to go for some rallyes!

Heres my 72 shortbed stepside. Its my first truck to be driven daily. Heres a little bit of how i got it> I bought a 63 chevy for 2 grand(pictured) and flipped it for 2300 and then found the 94 blazer for 3(pictured)(thought i should have a up to date car, but love oldies to much) so brought him down to 2300 and traded that for my 72. I went from 2 grand to a 10 thousand dollar truck! Pretty good if you ask me, and im only 16. :metal:

So here's my project, It's not much compared to a lot of the trucks I see here but it'll get there hopefully sooner than later. Looking to do some work on it before summer comes around.
