and we got ourselves, one finger power steering, completely CANable Free simply works in fail safe mode, (I believe this means the assist is the same regardless of vehicle speed as opposed to being progressively less as the speed increases in an actual Prius, oh well we'll take it)

the fender bolts come in two sizes, small, and these 3/8"-16 thread size x 1 1/2" long

so after hours and hours of cleaning, wire wheeling, and media blasting the originals, I decided to paint them with my wallet

thank you Batman!

You’re making great progress. I thought you were joking about the bracket you cobbled together for the electric power steering, but once you mounted it then I realized it was legit.

thanks, yeah it's a bit too fugly for even Good Enuff Garage standards so I plan on massaging it a bit, but it has to look that wonkey in ordrer to clear everything down there - and honestly can you tell me what your standard power steering pump bracket looks like, lol probably not right off hand as it is buried in there as well

Im confused is she your ex fiance because she became your wife (weird way of putting it, but you have some weird ways lol), or is this someone that left you at the alter?

I like it. When I painted my hood springs, they were collapsed, so of course the paint is only on the outer portions of the coils.

oldgymnast 07-27-2022 01:31 PM

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

You will probably run into the Faraday Effect when powdering the spring. The tight variance between the springs will make it so that the powder has trouble sticking. You may want to consider Hot Flocking the spring (shoot the powder when the part is hot) this will allow for the tight spaces to get covered with powder. Just a suggestion. Enjoy!
