OK That was just a tease. :metal:
It was really hard to keep it in a straight line. The second set of burn marks was my stupid friend filming the second burn out, but didn't have it on movie mode. He turned the dial by mistake. Too bad because it was a much better burn out.

What a a-hole. Any idea that the differance is between modular drop spindles and the reg drop spindles that cpp sells? When you power brake a burn out like that does it burn yours rear brakes? Or do you have a line lock?

ruffrida2005 10-20-2009 10:16 PM

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

Dave the modular drop spindles move the spindle inwards to let you use a larger rim and tire. I think it moves it in like 1.5"

On the breaks, you have to think that the MC splits the pressure to about 75/25 or something like that. So the front is holding the wheels stoped, but the back isn't held a whole lot so it will still spin. This is why you hardly ever have to change your rear breaks.

Just bought me some modular 2 1/2"drop ones. I think it said something about bigger bearing too. Your right about the 1 .5" part.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up

What??
The vette won't smoke 'em with out holding the brake?

Are the modular spindles 1.5" per side or overall?
