-yeah that was my main concern! but i just might try that! just wondering if anyone has ever thought of the idea or actually tried it!

Here is a 69 that I've had for 25 years. In 1987, I pieced this truck together from many different trucks.

Here are some pics from 1989. It started out as a 70 CST, but I made it look like a 72 Cheyenne. I sold it in the early 90's.

Sorry no build thread..Ihave a few pics of the frame before powdercoating, and a few after we put all the suspension pices back on, pics of the cab on frame and little from there, got it back from bare frame rails to this in a 8 days..Too busy to take pics I guess...LOL......I had the truck sitting for the last 6 years..Always wanted a pro street but couldn't cut the stock frame up...I haven't modified anything on the truck ,so it could go back to a stock frame at any time

trev, just curious but why do you have the fuel line going under the engine and then up the front instead of right up behind the engine? I only noticed it because I have the same filter, but then realized where your line went. I bought mine with it going up the back so no idea if this is not stock or what I'm just curious if you did this or if there was a reason.

I think the fuel line in this pic is the one you are talking about? It looks to me like the line comes from the fuel pump up to the carb and that would be pretty much stock. I'm not an expert though...I'm sure others would be more sure of this.

Could not fiure out how to quote, so I copied and Pasted....

A little background on the engine...IT IS NOT STOCK...
Chevy 350 (10/20 block 010). .40 over, flat top pistons, chevy X Rods(Pink Rods), Forged Steel Crankshaft, 193 Vortec heads(reworked), Erson 292 grind cam. (.480 lift, 108 duration) Edelbrock intake and Carb.

The fuel line was not present in the truck when I got it. The truck was a gutted BB CST. I ran the fuel line along the frame rail and across and up to the fuel pump. Then I took the shortest route to the carb. Seemed like thats how it should have been. But I have considered making the fuel line comming out of the fuel pump a "hard" line instead of the "soft" line I am using.

Any more questions please ask. I try to explain my maddness as best I can.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

I would think the line coming up the back would be the odd ball. Every one I have ever owned always had the line coming up by the water pump. I suppose it is because the stock fuel pump is right there

Pulled my El Camino coils and installed some CCP 5" drop coils. I also have a 2" block in there. I may change to a 1" block.
