Thanks for posting jocko. Would have liked to seen it in 2006 when it was purchased from the original owner. Does anybody know about the Eaton 3.73 its supposed to have? Would like to contact owner for documentation on this claim. Would be a great optional factory ratio if GM had there act together in the HO 52 years.

Agree, I would have liked to have seen it too. I'm not familiar with an Eaton 3.73, but agree it would be great if there were such an animal. GM probably wasn't too concerned (unfortunately) with these trucks running at 70 mph on the highway back then though - bet they never imagined we'd still be tinkering with and enjoying these things all these years later :)

KB, are circling the color mismatch (looks like doors were repainted separately??) or highlighting something else (and I'm missing it :))?

It's likely the vulcanized rear cab mount has torn loose on one side and is sagging. Common problem on 3/4 tons.

'62 C 20's in this shape are hard to find. Hard to tell if its has been repainted. If it hasn't, it could qualify for the most original thread. Interior looks mint! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ct...386994601.html

I'm with you forest, sure miss the days before Barrett Jackson made everyone think anything over 10 year sold is collector's item :)

I've noticed a significant reduction in the number of "decent" condition C20s (of this era) on the market in the last 6-12 months. Used to be that a nation-wide scrub of CL would yield at least a few custom campers and a few other C20s. Now, not so much, and what is listed, is thru the roof price-wise.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds

Did a CPI on $2,200 in 1962 ( price of a new C 20 ) in today's dollars...............about $ 20,000. Your pretty much paying the price of a brand new '62 + the cost of the collector car thing for anything that appears to be a very clean turn key pickup. I miss the "just a used car price" of the 70's and 80's too.

I feel like this one might have been at Mickey Grove Park back over the summer, if so it was very nice.

Do you guys think craiglist or facebook is a better place to look for a truck?

If I were looking for another truck to get, I'd look at every source possible. Lots of good trucks can be found on either, but Facebook can give you a wider area to look from easier than Craigslist can.
In my specific area (middle and somewhat north GA), I see more trucks for sale on Facebook and few for sale on Craigslist. Sometimes I'll see the same truck on both

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds

Facebook by far. Ever since CL started charging to post vehicle ads a few years back, everyone moved to Marketplace. I regularly search FB for trucks throughout the week, lots of good stuff around the country still.

Saw this on craigslis. I almost went to go check it out but after talking to the guy it sounds like it is built for drag racing instead a cruising.

Good catch, tack on the price of locating the correct GMC tailgate and color matching $500? Odd, no photos of the engine yet. By the way the air cleaner sits up so high, I bet its has the original V6.

It looks like the makings of a real nice truck. I wonder if it had some sort of AC unit, with the shifter all bent up. Depending on the rust someone might have gotten a good deal.
