Black is a good color. I thought about it, laugh about it and forgot about it.

It looks like you got some good deals on parts, and you will need those parts sooner than you think considering you are close to finishing the build.

Today I was trying to install my head light buckets. I misplaced the adjusting screws somewhere. I looked high and low for them. I tried to save all the special bolts and screws. But only found one and the platic nut was broken. So I came to a conclusion that I must have put them in file 13. So I guess I will have to order some. Does anyone have a 4 screws and nuts out there. Thought I would asked.

I was looking just for the glass frame and I was going to rebuild mine. But now all I have to do is replace the rubbers and :bann: done. Sometimes it pays to check to parts board

Re: 1968

Nothing here to post. I am working at a friends house painting their master bathroom. They are well in their years and can't do it themselves. I thought I would re-attach the transmission lines to the radiator, but went outside and it was at least 90 under the canophy. So I went back inside and did nothing. What a day.
Tomorrow morning I am going to sand blast the rear brake light houseings that I purchased the other day. Already done the brackets.

I just thought I would ask to see if anyone had some of these screws laying around. But it looks like I will have to order them. I can find the screws but the platic nuts are the problem. Most of them are dry and brittle.:bowtie:

Today I had to cut the weed in my yard. Don't have a lawn just weeds. Sat. is my adophed sons birthday so we are having a small get together for the boys. So Had to clean up the place. Don't want anyone to get hurt on my stuff. I think it is ,but the little woman was concerned. Too many things that I had to move and put away.

But I did paint the under side of the truck. I needed to paint the bolts and nuts when I re-installed the trailoring arms and tracking arm. Now they are clean And painted.

The back up lights cleaned up super nice. No rust or pits or anything. Not bad for 10.00. I installed the transmission cooling lines today also. The water pump pulley came in and painted it black and installed it on the motor. Along with the shroud and the 6 blade fan. Everything is looking great as far as the shroud and pulley goes. Now I need to find a adjusted for the alt. The power steering pump will be next on my list.

I sand blasted the back up lights and the rear turn signals and some vent window parts. Painted them gloss black. The rear turn signals came out real clean. I an going to use a set of back up lights from a fleet side truck. I like the way they can fit flat against the side of the bed with a flat bracket. After I install them, I will see if I keep them. I ordered them from the parts board the other day.
