Thanks for the information ....Thats hooking up pretty well and moving...You have done a great job. There aren't many trucks that will run those kinds of times....

Thanks but the previous owner did most of what was done before. He has actually been a good bit faster than I have. I hope to change that when I get back to the track!

Sound like a good time to me.
Are you going with a single nozzle kit or 2 / 1 nozzle and 1 plate?
Any way you go its going to wicked evil fast.
I have never ran spray on my hot rods yet. Tuned on a bunch for people. Crazy amounts of MPH and ET gain.
I do like the man sized tire and wheels you have gone with.
So.... I see a doctors visit and some licensing passes in your future for advanced ET????

I am gonna start with just a fogger. ( I had Monte Smith he is the head tech guy for NOS plumb and tune the fogger) If I need to I will add a plate.

Monte Smith is a bad, bad man!!
I'm sure it'll be badass... it seems if Monte does anything the car picks up crazy #'s.
I'm thinking about going with one of his or Steve Johnsons plate kits. Gotta tune it N/A first.

Have you ever sprayed using a tight 8" converter Kevin? If so, how much do you think blows through the converter?

Thanks,
Shawn

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

I'm not sure how much an 8 inch could take. I have run 8 inches normally aspirated with a big block but never sprayed a 8 inch convertor. I had a 9 inch in mine last time and I have a 9.5 this time.

How much are planning to spray?

At the most a 225 shot. Just hoping it'll pick me up quite a bit. Should go 6.9x on motor maybe a little more.

Sorry about hijacking your thread ^^

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

Shawn I would think that you would drive through the 8 inch. Call Ptc and ask for Kenny Ford and tell him I told you to call. Give him your info and see what he says.

Re: Its Mine the World Famous 67 Dragtruck

LoL, which PTC? Sorry, i've seen about 5 it seems on YB but they say they're not the same. I'll give him a call though. Sucks cause I just bought the 8" ATI about a month ago.

I was thinking I would probably blow right through it also though, sucks but oh well.

I got the axles cut down tonight. I am crossing my fingers that they fit and I don't have to have the spines cut deeper on the short axle. The long axle almost fit perfect. The pinion was not centered in the old rear end but it is now. We cut about 3/16ths off the long axle and about 2 3/4 inches off the short side axle.

I am gonna run a 4.30 pro gear again.

I need to get this pig to the paint shop. My painters had to change locations for their business. I hope they get room in the new shop for it soon.
