Those are some nice looking vent windows.

Re: 1968
It looks like you got some good deals on parts, and you will need those parts sooner than you think considering you are close to finishing the build.
|
Re: 1968
Movin' right along.
Your going to have ruts in the road from the delivery guy delivering all those parts.:haha: Soon,,,,,,,driving very soon. |
Re: 1968
Thanks guys I am doing my best trying to keep up with you guys. if building this truck is a 100 mile race I figured I have ran 40 miles. A long way to go.
Now is the hard part getting those parts to my door. |
Re: 1968
Today I was trying to install my head light buckets. I misplaced the adjusting screws somewhere. I looked high and low for them. I tried to save all the special bolts and screws. But only found one and the platic nut was broken. So I came to a conclusion that I must have put them in file 13. So I guess I will have to order some. Does anyone have a 4 screws and nuts out there. Thought I would asked.

Re: 1968
Nothing here to post. I am working at a friends house painting their master bathroom. They are well in their years and can't do it themselves. I thought I would re-attach the transmission lines to the radiator, but went outside and it was at least 90 under the canophy. So I went back inside and did nothing. What a day.
Tomorrow morning I am going to sand blast the rear brake light houseings that I purchased the other day. Already done the brackets. |

Re: 1968
Today I had to cut the weed in my yard. Don't have a lawn just weeds. Sat. is my adophed sons birthday so we are having a small get together for the boys. So Had to clean up the place. Don't want anyone to get hurt on my stuff. I think it is ,but the little woman was concerned. Too many things that I had to move and put away.
But I did paint the under side of the truck. I needed to paint the bolts and nuts when I re-installed the trailoring arms and tracking arm. Now they are clean And painted. |
Re: 1968
Picked up a set of transmission linkage for my th350. Painted them up and now waiting to buy a colum to put them on. Got my new cigerette lighter for the truck and some emblems. and a set of back up ligts. Don't know If I will use them or buy a new set. I will have to wait and see if they clean up.

The back up lights cleaned up super nice. No rust or pits or anything. Not bad for 10.00. I installed the transmission cooling lines today also. The water pump pulley came in and painted it black and installed it on the motor. Along with the shroud and the 6 blade fan. Everything is looking great as far as the shroud and pulley goes. Now I need to find a adjusted for the alt. The power steering pump will be next on my list.
I sand blasted the back up lights and the rear turn signals and some vent window parts. Painted them gloss black. The rear turn signals came out real clean. I an going to use a set of back up lights from a fleet side truck. I like the way they can fit flat against the side of the bed with a flat bracket. After I install them, I will see if I keep them. I ordered them from the parts board the other day. |
