I said it's ok he said daddy we have a major problem I see rust on the frame daddy. I said that's not rust that's dirt. He gets up walks off and is digging in my tool box I said what are you doing he said getting some sandpaper and paint we got to fix that lmao. |
Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"
Unlike diceman50 I just ran a ground strap from the mounting stud to the valve cover bolt.
Also I forgot I removed a ground from the firewall to the valve cover that was original to the truck. I used that hole for the clamp that hold my return fuel line. So I added it back like it was originally just moved it up and over a little. |

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"
Email from Ken.
Rodney, When you open the throttles it lets in air which leans out the mixture. It seems to me that you need to take some fuel out at this temp. Im going to give you over to Jeremy who is the Super go to for this!. Try pulling some fuel out at cranking temp and see if it works. You may just need some more air. Also Im sure that you have the throttles set correct but maybe just a crack of throttle blade opening may help as well with a little less fuel. I feel like you just need a bit more air and a little less fuel from what you are describing. With no data it's a blind guess but give it a try and see if Jeremy can add something to this. He is the man and has tuned cold start on every corner of this earth! Please copy him on all of the tech calls or go direct to him, he is the best you will find and can make changes to code if need be. Im sure its just adjustment. Thanks and give it a try |

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"
Ray here.
Its early and a bit cold 3.5 outside...38 were the car is stored....and still dark... SO you ask how did it GO? The motor tried to start but without rolling on the throttle it wasn't going to happen! The battery is two days old with a over night charge....so that's out... When it did run it was like having a sticking float or a fully closed chock blade.. The RPMs did not pick up and the room is so full of fumes I had to leave.... You get the idea. So at this time am going to walk away for a while.. After last nights Fitech tech moment (controller) Am taking some cool down time. Ray.. |
Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"
Ray Back..

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"
The reason I'm not doing my FiTech until spring isn't really because I'm waiting for GP to to get his up and running all the way first. It's because I can't fit my Jeep in the garage (height and to much **** in the garage) and I would have to be outside in the elements to do anything to it. Today it's a high of 29, brrr
Be happy you got some cover. |

Calling Tech has been a bit stressful...I have not called them on this yet... I think its TIME...I have had no response on my e-mails.... Have they mailed you back anything that my be helpful???? Hope I don't seam pissy This really is not My tread so unless I find out something useful am going to sit back for a time... Ray. |

I was going just run and hide from all of this mostly from frustration and the fact I have more posts in the last week than you and this tread is not about me....On the flip side trying to help someone can help me in the end.. YOUR MY ONLY FREIND This is were I pass out and hit the floor..... SO what am I doing now? I have one that work just fine and one not so much! Going to make all the settings from the bad one the same as the good one. From my first look they are a lot different... Let you know how it works.. Ray. |
