Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D
Thank You.
The cab will still be removed and bottom of cab will be prepped for paint and bedliner. At that point I can also do all the bodywork on firewall. Mark |
Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D
Mark, what paint did you use on the frame? Looks good.
|
Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D
Doug,I used POR15 in satin black (with a brush!!) and hand painted every inch of the frame. Once it was mostly cured I then sprayed it with POR15 "Top Coat" in chassis black.
The chassis black gives it a very hard surface. I used about 3/4 of a quart when painting the frame and suspension. and had enough to paint the backside of the Hood. Mark |
Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Here is an update that I forgot to post PRE cab removal!
Pic 1. The stock style splash apron Pic 2. Since I am running a short radiator it looked really silly being so tall. I cut off 5" from the top. This was a mockup Pic 3. The new plate cutout and roundbar used to give a radius. At this point I was not happy with it (as it looked boring) Pic 4. So I made some cuts to add some style. Stay tuned! Mark |
