I love most of the styling on the new Camaros, but that dashboard makes babies cry. Very nice ride in every other regard.

Re: PO has me PO'd
The big white truck showed up today, got a package from Tri-something or other...
Seems like if you put an idea in the persons ear you get a new patch panel! Anyway, now I have to pull my wood bed apart. Seems like a good time to derust the frame This thing is becoming a poster child for Tri-??? I should at least get a decal for my tool box lol http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...hinTrip098.jpg |
Re: PO has me PO'd
HEY!
it was my idea for that patch... ask Jon! I'm actually glad he didn't have it when I asked, I would have tried to save my bedsides... what a mess that would have been |

It has the 6.2L L99. I got the automatic tranny, so no LS3. Its still 426 HP tho, so it'll put your head back nice and strong when you get on it. I really like it... |

Re: PO has me PO'd
Had a little problem with clearance on my Cloyes double row timing chain, so I ground down the block some. Also set the sprocket up for 4° advance, to try to build in some low end torque
Also added a .030 wear plate behind the the cam sprocket to add a little protection to the block, misalignment of the sprockets was within specs., so I didn't have to machine cam sprocket http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...nTrip162-1.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...hinTrip164.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...hinTrip167.jpg |

Progress is extremely slow but, I do have a few moments here and there. Wifey took a bad tumble a few weeks back and still has me concerned...can't get her to slow down, even with her condition. No need for her to rush, but she does |
Re: PO has me PO'd
Thank you very much Jim, it's good to hear from you.
Sorry to hear about the wife, I hope she is doing better. Just keep your eye on her. Keep up the good work on the Jimmy, it's coming along nicely. |
Re: PO has me PO'd
She's looking good! Be careful tho or you'll end up like me. Everytime I get a new part I have to take it apart again to put that one on. Maybe thats why I've been restoring for 6 years?

no doubt. They run really well and still get good mpgs.
We're planning on ordering a Camaro convertible after they come out. It may be a Z/28 (556hp LSA?) convertible if its released by the time we order and with a rag top...otherwise a RS/SS convertible with a stick. :chevy: |
