Thanks for the kind words guys. Glad to see this phase of the project getting done. Will work on the door reassembly this week. Still need to rebuild the vent assemblies with new rubbers. Did install new gaskets on the mirror arm, fuel filler (and hose and clamps), and exterior handles.
Had to fix a few pics that loaded funny. Tried to get good pics of the finish. I think I got less trash in this one outside than my last inside spray 17 years ago. Perfect weather definitely helped.....and tons of prep. |

Got the back of the cab taped off and got aerosol bed liner down. Laid down real nice with a great texture. Have always hated not being able to clean the back of the cab...and now its maintenance free. Hit the back of the bed panel also since the beds off. Will reinstall tomorrow.

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
I really like the colour choice.
Keep up the nice work. Greg. |

Thanks guys.
Got the tape off the forward bed panel. The stainless hardware really pops now. Too bad it'll never be seen. Bed back on tonight. Pimpston....you should be able to see the eyebolts now in this pic. Just forward to the stake pocket. |
Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Hey what brand is that bed liner? Is it good for like under neath fenders and under the cab to? Seems like its tough stuff....Were do ya get it? :chevy:
|
Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
pimpston65--you can put eye hooks in the holes for mounting bed to frame and lift the same as 1963c-10's setup. set the bed on the frame so you can remove the eye bolts, then move the bed over the bolts holes. if using the rubber pads just use a jack to lift the bed--insert pads. don't mean to jack your build 1963c-10.

Got the bed back on without incident or scratches. Also got the glovebox cover reassembled. New gaskets and bumpers should keep it in good service for a few more years.
Ran out of light and was the best pic my phone could take. Thanks to austin and the engine hoist it was pretty simple. |

I hate the short nights. Just gets dark so fast. Will get better pics tomorrow.
Templates arrived too. Thanks a bunch. You should be fine going through the cross sills as long as the floors still fairly solid. |

Late off work and other house projects to do, but enough time to install the glovebox assembly. Really considering a white insert on the glovebox door and door panels to break up the color some.

Very nice! Me likey! I now dub your truck 3 Tone! lol For a short time anyway.....
|
Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Ill hold off on any two-toning until the carpet and seat is installed. I want to see how it looks in 1 color with the rest of the ok interior.
Worked on the grill some last night too. Decals will go on this weekend and it'll be done. |

Re: 1963 C-10 in NC
Just my opinion, but I think that the glovebox needs a black accent to mimmic your gage cluster...Nice lookin BTW!
