Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
A lot has changed since page 34 of this thread when my truck was still mostly shiny. Here's a couple of recent shots with the new Blitz Black paint job completed.

My wife and I saw this truck in North Carolina at a Cruise In, and it was AWESOME. I took a bunch of pics of it. |
Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
picked this one up in Montana last month for $1500. Complete and running. No plans to restore just clean up and make roadworthy. Has a 283 4 spd and everything works. Needs a new box bed and floorpans. Also a steering box, so I may put a blazer steering box on there as its free.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
hey guys
i hung out in the 47-59 forum for awhile till i parted most of my 57 out still have the front clip sitting here, due to family issues and need the cash. went thu an old chevy truck withdrawl and was kind of looking for an old truck. found an add on CL, called the guy and struck a deal. the black roller is a 65 swb with title, but not in the owners name, but i also gat a 64 cab, doors and hood plus some other misc parts with a transferable title, and got it all for $150.oo. going to try to get the cab home tomorrow if i can get ahold of a buddy to help me load it up and the truck sometime this week if possible. plan is to get the 64 cab fixed up, worst part is the passenger side rocker, and then sit on the 65 frame lower it down some and them decide on a fleet or stepside, anyway heres a few pics http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...a/SANY0557.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...a/SANY0549.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...a/SANY0553.jpg already have the doos and hood at home http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...a/SANY0562.jpg |
Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Are these year trucks getting more, and more popular, or am I imaging it. I see them every where now.
|
Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
It aint your imagination! At the Dixie Fried car show this year there were about 8 or more! Dixie fried is a pretty big show here in Atlanta and primarily traditional rods so for that many 60-66s to be there is a trend indicator!

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
I used to only see about 2-3 running around Fort Hood. Now I see about 30+ 60-66 running around, A lot more c10's in general. Got to love old american made sheet metal.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Yeah they're coming out of the wood work, and being driven again. :metal:

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
At least the old trucks have lasted 40 years . Which is more than the new trucks can say. Heck I cannot even work on my superduty powerstroke.
