I can snap a few later today and get them to you. There is plenty of room though. Do you know off the top of your head what the hose on top of the tranny goes to? I thought it was just a vent, but it has a "T" fitting on it, like it had a hose going somewhere.

I'm pretty sure it's just a vent.

Pictures as requested. Sorry for the poor quality, camera phone and its hard to get in there really close. You can see the vent thing I'm talking about. I would say there is about 2" of space, maybe even a little more. However I still have to make sure I'm leveled out at the right driveline angle. I used the spacers that were on the th400 mount, but the engine still seams to dip down, and the tranny pan doesn't appear to be level. I need to get out my angle measurer and check the angle.

Thanks for the pics! No hurry, but when you get a chance can you snap a few from the side? I like to see where your motor mounts are in relation to the head. I'm just curious as to how far I will be able to slide my motor back. Also, here's a couple really cool animations of building an LS motor, enjoy!

Very nice build, sat down and read through it all today. What kind of fuel mileage do you think you'll be getting with the 6.2 combo?

And here is the why I want to put an L99+6L80 in my Chevrolet Veraneio. First because the L99 is the only V-8 engine avaiable around here, and since playboys are starting to destroy Camaros SS maybe I could find one. But the main reason is that even stock I will get 3 times the power, and something something lower than 2 times the torque that I have with my L6 261 (first gen stovebolt). And everyting with higher kilometrages (milleages) per liter (galon). But in my case I want the AFM, VVT, etc...

Mine has not been touched in a while. We are in a drought and I spend all my time feeding cattle. Most will be sold by the end of the month.
I will have more shop time this summer, although I may have to find a side job for a while. Still up for a Florida trip tho!

Well I had to pull the oil pan in order remove the oil pump in order to install the LS2 timing chain dampner in order to change the cam in order to delete the VVT.....seems like this project just continues to snowball down hil....LOL. Oh well, got that done now, I think....finally....I can start putting it back together for good, :).

Well it's starting to look like a motor again (PICS!). My buddy Joe and I installed the oil pan, front timing cover and the bolted the heads back on. I still need to recheck the torque on the head bolts and then I'll put in the new pushrods and the rocker arms. When I'm done with the that, I think I going to do a test fit of the engine/tranny. I'm tempted to try it without installing the high hump, but I'm 95% sure it won't fit.....

Thanks Bro!

Ernie came over yesterday and between the 2 of us (Ernie did most of the work,), we got the high hump installed. After finishing that up, we put the motor in for a test fit. Well almost, the 2013 Camaro pan isn't going to work, :(. I thought it would be close, but we confirmed it wouldn't. Two steps forward and one back...:waah:. I ordered a 2007 Cadillac CTSV pan last night and it should be here early next week. It's the same one I have on the suburban and should fix the problem. I also think I have the accessory brackets figured out. I ordered a set of the Holley LS brackets. Hopefully they will work for my truck and Jakes 68....fingers crossed! Picture time!

It's not often that someone asks you to cut a hole in a pristine '68 C10 floor... you just have to say yes when it happens!
