Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

that exhaust sounds good on his nova, but it will be easier for you to just run true duals. plus it's a little better for racing and that's what your truck set up for.

ruffrida2005 01-07-2010 01:01 AM

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

it's a type of glass. like a really hard plastic that you can shape and bend with heat.

jgh64pkup 01-07-2010 01:04 AM

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

Acrylic is easier to use then Lexan I believe, I put a Lexan window in my old ranger in the rear, and it sucked cutting it. but it can be done.

jgh64pkup 01-07-2010 05:57 PM

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

it can be an expensive mess up..

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"

Lexan, Acrylic, Plexiglass, etc. They are all pretty much the same stuff, just different manufactures. It can be cut with a table saw pretty easily if you have a high tooth blade. Getting curves and what not is probably easiest with a router, or band saw. If you get too much heat the shavings tend to melt and clump up. It is not too bad to work with, as long as you take your time. I have made several tanks for our saltwater aquarium with it. I think a 1/4 4x8 sheet was a couple hundred bucks. You could probably get by with 1/8 for the truck.
